Stef the following question is a follow up question to a previous question I asked involving the elephant man. Now the question I am going to ask you Stef is an entirely seperate question but is in spirit a follow up as it deals with the central issue of principles I had raised previously in the elephant man questions. The reason I ask this new question is because the following very real scenario I will be referring to involves yourself Stef in a very recent interaction here on Freedomain Locals. On a very recent call in with a German guy you asked the German guy what’s the issue in regards to following principles. He said ‘It’s hard’. I was very interested in hearing what he was referring to when he said ‘it’s hard’. I think I know what he was referring to, I think he was referring to the fact that if you follow principles it will likely lead you nowhere in the modern world of women and relationships. Not to say I have a problem with the principles you advocate for Stef, but does following principles really lead to results in the modern world of dating & relationships? Let me give you evidence to back up my claim, evidence that you Stef I know are all too familiar with. Women as you are aware Stef are drawn to bad guys, jerks, even in some cases criminals. I don’t have to remind you Stef the most popular book of all time with women is ‘50 Shades of Grey’. A book about a brutal arrogant jerk who blindfolds women and smacks them on the ass with a belt and wooden spoon. Additionally there is an old saying Stef women love drama and ‘you can make a woman feel anything, just don’t make her feel nothing’. Now I get & fully understand the point of following principles that you advocate for Stef but in the face of all the evidence that suggests the average women isn’t really looking for a guy with virtue who follows principles I do think you have to deal with those very real facts. I’m not saying following principles is guaranteed to lead to failure, it’s possible this caller might find the unicorn who is not driven by drama and Mr. Grey bad boy energy, but on the balance of probabilities if he follows principles will he find this super rare woman? I don’t think those odds are good, again in the face of all the competing evidence I have just stated Stef I think that is a very reasonable assertion to make. What I am referring to is practicality Stef. Is it practical for this German caller to follow principles when a lot of the evidence suggests women aren’t searchin

"I have trouble explaining to people why the genuinely decentralized nature of Bitcoin along with it's totally anonymous conception (in the sense that we do not know who made it) are central to it's superiority not only as a cryptocurrency but as a means of exchange and as a savings technology. Can you go over why those two aspects are so unique and important?"
"Stef in a recent question you answered you said that a person should stick to principles. My question is to what extent should a person value principles over virtuous goals? For example you would agree as you have previously stated that it would be immoral for a man to impregnate a prostitute as a prostitute would needless to say be a terrible mother. You would also say that it would be immoral to date a heroin addict single mom for similar reasons, now to clarify I don't want to strawman you so I don't necessarily believe these scenario's are all immoral or if they are just major red flags of dysfunction and that if such dysfunction were to occur you couldn't necessarily ascribe any innocence to such a man that puts himself in such a situation, see your prior answer to the heroin drug addict mother for example. This backdrop leads me to my main question, now I'm arguably in the top 1% of looks and I'm probably also in the top 1% of IQ, so the following question I am going to ask you is completely hypothetical, that said as you are a philosopher I believe you see tremendous value in hypothetical questions. My question is how much do principles matter in a scenario like this: if a man is below average looking, let's say as well he also has below average income and below average salary. For the sake of argument let's just say the man is an elephant man, if you are unaware an elephant man is a seriously disfigured man, see the David Lynch movie 'The Elephant Man' if you are not familiar with the term(a deeply philosophical movie by the way). Anyway back to my question if a man is well below average or for example you can take the extreme example, an elephant man, such a man would understandably find it extremely hard to get a wife, my question is should a man in such a position choose principles over the most important goal of man and arguably everyone's life regardless of whether they admit it or not, which is to have children. Such a man would have very limited choices in regards to women, especially in the 21st century where even good looking guys struggle to get women, such a man may very likely be presented with a choice to have children with a single mom or a take an extreme but in this case a very realistic alternative a prostitute. No men desire to date or especially marry and have kids with a prostitute but at the same time no women want to date men at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder, especially if he is also physically unattractive, short and/or in an extreme example disfigured as the result of war or genetic defects. My question is should such a man choose to follow

"Hey, Stef, what are your thoughts on the ethics of actions that are, in the immediate moment, not unethical, but in the long run, have the risk of becoming so? Let's say, for example, you develop a sexual relationship with a woman only for the sake of satisfying your vanity, insecurities, and sexual needs without the intention of a long-term commitment. If this action is between two consenting adults and doesn't violate the NAP or UPB, it can't be called unethical. However, should a pregnancy occur, either the resulting abortion or the child raised by two parents who are only drawn together by lust has the potential for unethical outcomes. The promiscuity isn't unethical if both parties are honest about what they're doing, but the consequences can spiral into unethical territory. What then is the ethical status of promiscuity if it is voluntary? Is the correct word irresponsible rather than unethical?
"Is the failure of parents to secure a safe environment for their children to be raised in unethical if they had the chance to do so? If so, does this mean that we can create a term like retrospective ethics, which refers to ethical judgments that are validated only by looking backwards in time after the consequences are played out instead of through reason alone? Before the ethical judgments are validated, they are simply speculative, so maybe they can be referred to as speculative ethics before consequences validate or invalidate the judgments. The main problem I found with this reasoning is in finding the first cause. If promiscuity is unethical only when certain consequences occur, why do we focus on the act of sex rather than the preceding acts such as the flirtation and escalating behaviors? How would we locate the first domino that kick-started this unethical chain in order to assign ethical judgment to the correct behavior? Is this why UPB and ethics as a whole cannot be based on consequences?"

Let's say a couple were to enter into some contract with a woman to maybe use the male sperm and the woman's eggs in order to get a baby, and the baby then, in a sense, would be contracted, maybe money would exchange.
Therefore, the baby is bought and paid for, and is this UPB? In other words, can a couple pay another woman to conceive and carry a child, and then the custody of the child would be transferred to the new couple, and is this UPB? Now, of course, there's no force that is being deployed in the contract, right? So everybody is voluntarily putting themselves in the contract. And the argument is, and I understand the perspective, and I obviously really respect the question, but the baby is not consenting. The baby is not consenting to the contract. Now, of course, I've made this case before, but it's been a long time ago. Is a contract valid if you can't consent at the time, but you do consent later?
