In the 1980s, Andrew McCarthy was part of a young generation of actors who were set to take over Hollywood after a string of successful teen movies. However, when the New York magazine cover story in 1985 dubs them the Brat Pack, stars in the making suddenly find themselves losing control over the trajectory of their careers. Now, almost forty years later, McCarthy looks to reconnect with peers and co-stars — Emilio Estevez, Jon Cryer, Lea Thompson, Rob Lowe, Ally Sheedy, and Demi Moore — so that together they can reflect on their respective legacies. A legacy is something like what Akira Kurosawa gave to cinema, or Sydney Lumet, or Carl Theodor Dreyer, or Vittorio De Sica, or Tarkovsky, or Claude Chabrol and the actors and actresses who helped them, but OK.
I'm not saying this documentary is bad, I haven't even seen it. But the word legacy which I saw in the review that I shared here seemed to me ridiculous, to say the least.

After the Robb Elementary school shooting in Texas, local Uvalde Leader-News journalists are left to report on the fallout – and on one of their staff members. Reporter Kimberly Rubio rises to national prominence as an advocate for gun reform after her ten-year-old daughter, Lexi, is killed in the shooting. Just out of jail and still searching for his late beloved Beniamina, crumpled English archaeologist Arthur reconnects with his wayward crew of tombaroli accomplices – a happy-go-lucky collective of itinerant grave-robbers who survive by looting Etruscan tombs and fencing the ancient treasures they dig up. Arthur isn’t interested in the artefacts, though; he’s seeking a legendary door to the underworld, and to Beniamina.
Everyone has their own Chimera, something they try to achieve but can never find. For Arthur, the Chimera is the woman he lost, Beniamina.
La chimera (Italian: [la kiˈmɛːra], meaning "The Impossible Dream") is a 2023 period comedy-drama film written and directed by Alice Rohrwacher. The film stars Josh O'Connor as a British archaeologist who gets involved in an international network of stolen Etruscan artifacts during the 1980s. Carol Duarte, Vincenzo Nemolato, Alba Rohrwacher and Isabella Rossellini appear in supporting roles.
Arthur, a British archaeologist, returns to Italy after being released from prison, where he was arrested for stealing artifacts from tombs to sell to an arts dealer named Spartaco. He goes to visit his ex-girlfriend Beniamina's mother, Flora, at her family home, where he also meets her live-in maid and student, Italia. Beniamina has been missing for an undisclosed amount of time, but her mother is convinced she will one day return. Beniamina's sisters are sick of Arthur seemingly freeloading from their mother, and try to find him a job, which he refuses. Arthur, lacking a decent coat and proper heating in his hut, catches a cold.
The next day, Beniamina's mother sends Italia to Arthur to bring him some coffee. While she looks around his place, Arthur discovers that his artifacts - which he had kept buried in the ground beneath a tree - are missing. Confronted, they return his stolen artifacts and attempt to reconcile. He rebuffs them initially but accompanies them to the Epiphany celebrations happening in town. During the festival, a farmer approaches them about locating a tomb on his land. Arthur's friends agree to look for it.
At the farm, Arthur, his friends, like him tomb raiders (tombaroli), and a young woman named Melodie, search for the tomb, which Arthur locates using a dowsing twig and through his 'chimeras' - visions he experiences upon standing atop a gravesite. Arthur feigns being sick so that his friends can scare away the farmer, and return later in the night to excavate the Etruscan grave goods. Arthur and his friends continue to rob tombs, collecting artifacts to sell.
Awesome, Happy Lazzaro was good, but this is a high flying bird of beautiful poetry....

Elemental is the debut studio album by Canadian musician, composer, singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Loreena McKennitt and the vehicle with which she launched the Quinlan Road label. The album was recorded in one week in July 1985 and released later in the year.
The studio was a barn in southern Ontario, situated in a field of sunflowers. It sold 67,000 pieces worldwide.

nastily effective, lo-fi, psychological haunted house horror about a malevolent force that takes up residence in a remote Texas farmhouse (shot at director Bryan Bertino’s family home). There is possibly not a single scary moment here that will be new to horror fans, but Bertino directs with such technical flair that I went to Texas afterward to check if the demon was interested in a sequel.
