-Kansas City, Missouri (And Kansas City, Kansas) to Phoenix, Arizona.
-Kansas City International Airport to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
-MCI to PHX. MCI-PHX.
-Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Long distance round trip travel in a single day. Morning to midday to afternoon to evening to night. Brief layovers in between flights. Before this return trip was the outbound trip: Phoenix (PHX) to Las Vegas (LAS) to Kansas City (MCI). Left Arizona in the morning, back home in Arizona at night. Departure and arrival! Boarding passes and fridge magnets are shown at the end.
-Inside the gate, taxi to runway, Takeoff (climb & ascent to cruising altitude), flight attendant announcements after surpassing 10,000 feet.
-Snack and drink service, Landing (descent & final approach), touchdown on runway, flight attendant "welcome" announcements , taxi to the gate, parking.
-Awesome views [behind the wing, from the window seat] of: KCI/MCI runways & terminals, Interstate 29 freeway, Missouri river, rural Kansas farmlands, Western Kansas & Oklahoma, Northern Texas, Eastern Colorado, Northern New Mexico, (Much under the clouds/overcast skies), Kiowa & Rita Blanca National Grasslands, Santa Fe, Albuquerque & Sandia Mountains in distance, Interstate 40 freeway (Route 66), Gallup, Eastern Arizona, Holbrook/Snowflake/Show Low areas, Tonto National Forest & Mountains, Roosevelt Lake & Saguaro Lake, Beeline Highway & Apache Trail, Apache Junction, Mesa, Loop 202 freeway & Loop 101 freeway, Gilbert & Chandler & South Mountain in distance, Tempe, the Marketplace, Salt River, ASU Campus, Sky Harbor runways & terminals.
-Seats, tray tables, flaps, landing gear, terminals, fun solo getaway, passengers, pilots, desert valley, mountains, lakes & rivers, farms, rolling hills, central plains, heartland of America, trees, freeways & cars, people. Clouds, sunny skies, clear skies, overcast, cloudy skies, turbulence. Fall season, cooler weather yet still some humidity. Beautiful sunset, nighttime darkness, night lights.
*Mid-Continent International Airport. New modern terminal (concourse, gates) under construction, to open soon.
-This was my very first time in/near the Kansas City area/state of Kansas/western Missouri. I've been to St. Louis before, but not here. Lots of family in Indiana.
During my layover here, I walked and took photos inside the gate area, ate at Jose Quervo's Tequileria restaurant. I regret not stepping outside for awhile. However, I plan to return eventually.
