DIY reception backdrop made from PVC and linen.
This backdrop is in three 10' sections with a total length of 30'. However, you can build to suit your space with some simple modifications.
The linens were pre-made and needed a stand to hang from. 1" diameter PVC was selected for its low cost, strength, and ease to work with. It took about 2 hours to design, measure, and cut the pieces and approx. 1 hour to assemble. Blue LED ice sickle lights were hung behind the linen and attached with zip ties. The three sections made it easy to move into place once assembled, and each section was secured to the others with zip ties. Small bean bags/ sand bags were used on the bottom to keep the structure from falling over.
Tools needed: tape measure, PVC cutter, marker, razor knife, pliers/ wrench
Materials needed: 1"x10' - 4
1" T - 2
1" elbow - 4
1"x1"x1/2" - 2
½" to 1" - 2
½" threaded - 2
½"x1' - 1
twist ties/ zip ties, straight pins, small sand bags/ other weight (for counter weighting the stand)
