The New York City architect arrested last year in connection with a string of cold case bodies found on Long Island's Gilgo Beach has been charged with the murders of two additional victims, according to a superseding bail application.
Investigators allege that Rex Heuermann, 59, murdered Sandra Costilla, 28, in the fall of 1993. Costilla, a native of Trinidad and Tobago living in New York, disappeared around November of that year. Her body was discovered by two hunters in a wooded area of Southampton. Although unnamed until recently, Costilla would have been the earliest known victim of the alleged serial killer. The court documents reveal that a female hair found on Costilla's mutilated body "shared a common base at all compared positions" with a witness who once lived at Heuermann's residence in Massapequa.
The other alleged victim is Jessica Taylor, whose remains were found near Mill Road in July 2003 and again in March 2011.
After Heuermann's arrest, investigators conducted multiple searches of his residence, uncovering over 350 electronic devices containing a significant collection of violent pornography dating back to 1994. The explicit content accessed by Heuermann coincided with the manner in which the remains of Costilla, Taylor, and another woman, Valerie Mack, were discovered. While Heuermann has not been charged with Mack's murder, he is currently accused of killing six women, including Maureen Brainard-Barnes in 2007, Melissa Barthelemy in 2009, Megan Waterman in 2010, and Amber Costello in 2010.
During the investigation, authorities discovered a Word Document from 2000 among the electronic data. This document appeared to outline the alleged serial killer's planning, listing "PROBLEMS" he expected to encounter, "SUPPLIES" needed for the murders, and a "DS" column that suggested Mill Road as a possible disposal site.

🔴 A judge provided crucial evidence on Wednesday when Corey Harris returned to the courtroom for the ongoing case of driving while license suspended. By the hearing's end, Harris found himself back in the Washtenaw County Jail.
Judge Cedric Simpson clarified, "He has never had a Michigan license, ever!" aiming to clear up any confusion in Harris' case. Harris had blamed the Saginaw Friend of the Court for the continued suspension of his driving record, alleging they failed to lift the suspension in a child support case after a judge's order in January 2022. However, court officials countered on Tuesday, stating Harris never paid the necessary fees to the clerk's office, preventing a clearance from being sent to the Secretary of State.
During Harris' pre-trial hearing on the suspension case, Judge Simpson emphasized that Harris himself was at fault. "The person that needed to be blamed is the person that he was staring at in the mirror," Simpson remarked. "He didn't do what he should have done."
Judge Simpson further revealed that Harris has never held a valid driver's license in Michigan or any other state. In a prior interview with Harris and his new attorney, Harris claimed he couldn't recall ever having a valid driver's license. The Secretary of State's office confirmed this after Judge Simpson's disclosure.
A prosecutor from Pittsfield Township and the police officer who cited Harris in October 2022 were present at the hearing. Prosecutor Konrad Siller confirmed that Harris knew he didn't have a valid driver's license during the traffic stop, as he admitted it to the officer at the time.
Additional evidence from Judge Simpson indicated that Harris regularly renewed his state identification, further proving he knew he didn't possess a valid driver's license. Corn Pop, a real individual, supposedly carried a straight razor and threatened Biden after an altercation where Biden called him "Esther," a derogatory term derived from swimmer Esther Williams. Biden claims he defused the potentially violent situation by apologizing to Corn Pop, thus preventing a razor-versus-chain showdown.
