We took a drive and went to see the flooding on Percy Priest Lake. We went to Four Corner's Marina and then over to Long Hunter State Park. They have a land locked lake called Couchvillle Lake and it was out of its banks. They have a walking trail around the lake I believe its 2 miles long. But because of the flooding the had to run on the road to leads into the park.

I walk you through the process of measuring the old cable to determine the correct length for replacement. If you're able to find the manufacturer's number on the cable, the last two digits typically indicate the length in feet.

Working on a 2006 Tohatsu 6hp outboard. It was backfiring and was super high idle from someone messing with the idle screw. The coil and fuel pump are very weak. In this episode I tackle adjusting the valve clearance and trying to figure out what is going on?

Diagnosing a Mercury 90hp with Ron. We found that the #3 Cylinder is dead with little to no compression. It also doesn't have fire on the #1,3 & 5 cylinders. Ron said it ran but it also has a bad Stator. Maybe able to save it but at what cost.

Went fishing again this week. It was cloudy fairly windy and as far as the bite. There was no bite. But, I wanted to share a few pages from a 1968 manual for a Johnson evinrude 6hp. The second page describing how the ignition system works on those coils, breaker points and condensers. The second page was scanned upside down. I am pretty certain they did it on purpose.

Our friend Tim is working on restoring a Stratos boat. He brought it over the first time and it had no fire. Tim took it back home and got the stator, trigger, switchbox and new coils. Its firing good now. In this episode we set the timing. However the second set up carbs the float was stuck.

Tim took it back home and is going to clean the carbs again.

Welcome to our latest video where we tackle the installation of the tilt and trim back onto the 2000 Johnson 70hp 4 stroke outboard motor. This particular unit underwent extensive rebuilding by the skilled team at 5 Star Marine. The condition was so deteriorated that we opted to send it off for professional repair.

During the rebuild process, 5 Star Marine identified that the valve body was beyond repair, meaning it couldn't be upheld under their impressive 2-year warranty.

Testing a Triton bunch of repairs. We went out and came back in. Customer had put on a cheap fuel pump. Change out that pump for a Mercury Pump and he is good to go.
