Bloody Mary allegedly appears to individuals or groups who ritualistically invoke her name in an act of catoptromancy. This is done by repeatedly chanting her name into a mirror placed in a dimly-lit or candle-lit room. The name must be uttered 13 times (or some other specified number of times). The Bloody Mary apparition allegedly appears as a corpse, witch, or ghost that can be friendly or evil, and is sometimes seen covered in blood (hence the name). The lore surrounding the ritual states that participants may endure the apparition screaming at them, cursing them, strangling them, stealing their soul, drinking their blood, or scratching their eyes out. Some variations of the ritual call Bloody Mary by a different name—"Hell Mary" and "Mary Worth" are popular examples. Up until the 1829 Treaty of Lewistown, the area was peopled by Shawnee Native Americans who were well aware of a large omnivore creature that reached up to 10 feet tall and had brute strength. When Captain John Lewis arrived, the namesake of the town, he was unaware and was in for a pleasant surprise.
Lewistown in Logan County is near Indian Lake, which has numerous islands and provides refuge for what would be later called "Grassman". So, don't be surprised if you get paid a visit by the creature when you least expect it. In fact, this video is about such an occurrence. Listen in!

The Dogman, described as a werewolf-like creature, has allegedly been spotted all over Ohio, including Franklin County.
According to eyewitnesses, the Dogman monsters have pink or gray skin, are typically 4–6 feet tall, and are quite muscular. It occasionally appears to be walking on all fours or on two feet.
In Allen County, one of the most recent reports was from 2016. Although the Dogman is usually connected to Michigan, there have been multiple sightings in Ohio over the last ten years, which makes sense.

Ram River is a river rising in the Alberta Rocky Mountains that quenches the thirst of Bigfoot. The river gets its name from the male of the Rocky Mountain Sheep inhabiting the area, which, most assuredly, Bigfoot preys on.

Aylesbeare is a village and civil parish in the East Devon district of Devon, England, 8 miles (13 km) east of Exeter. It has a long, but lightly recorded, history. Additionally, it has had many spellings over the years, including Ailesbergon, Aillesbir and Ailesberga.
Aylesbeare made national headlines in August 1978 after the disappearance of 13-year-old Genette Tate, who lived in the village. She has never been found. In 2016, the police announced that they believed serial killer Robert Black to be responsible, but could not charge him as he had since died.

The term "classic" has a number of acceptable meanings. A common definition is "something of enduring interest, quality, or style." "Something recognized as definitive in its field" is another definition. An additional definition is "something noteworthy of its kind and worth remembering." The sighting of William Roe qualifies as a classic case of an encounter with an enormous, hirsute bipedal beast. In fact, Mr. Roe's sighting may possibly rank as the most significant bigfoot sighting ever, according to experts who regularly follow the field of cryptozoology.
My understanding is that William Roe's credibility has never truly been questioned. He may have been some type of fraud or hoaxer, but I have never read anything that would support that notion. Keep in mind that this all occurred nearly three full years before the word "bigfoot" was coined to describe prints discovered by Jerry Crew in Northern California in a newspaper story and twelve years before the Patterson-Gimlin film rose to fame throughout the world. Roe had a few interviews on his sighting, but eventually went one step further and had an affidavit documenting his encounter prepared (in August 1957) for John Green. He was under no obligation to do this. This is hardly the kind of activity a hoaxer would take, in my opinion.

McAllen is a city located at the southern tip of Texas in an area known as the Rio Grande Valley, only about five miles from the Mexican border. And wouldn't you know it! A Dogman is lurking around.
Developer John McAllen, who settled in the Rio Grande Valley in the late 1800s and established a town site in 1904 known as West McAllen, must be turning over in his grave.
However, there are plenty of white-tailed deer, turkeys, bobwhite quail, and other animals to feed such a large predator.

Who would have thought it? A Dogman in Hatfield, a town and civil parish in Hertfordshire, England, in the borough of Welwyn Hatfield, seemingly right in the middle of nowhere? Yes, you guessed it!
In fact, Hatfield has a forest, which is the only remaining intact Royal Hunting Forest and dates from the time of the Norman kings, so this huge, hairy creature has ample land to hide and go unseen.

The Beast of Bladenboro refers to a creature responsible for a string of deaths amongst Bladenboro, North Carolina animals in the winter of 1953–54. According to witnesses and trackers, it was likely a wildcat species, but its identity was ultimately not definitively confirmed. According to reports, the animal commonly crushed or decapitated its victims, which were mostly dogs.

The Beast of Bray Road, also known as the Bray Road Beast and the Wisconsin Werewolf, is a purported humanoid wolf-like creature allegedly witnessed in or near the rural community of Elkhorn, Walworth County, Wisconsin. It has since become a part of Wisconsin folklore and has been the subject of multiple books, documentaries, and a 2005 horror film.
Named for the farm road in which it was first purportedly sighted, reports of the creature in the 1980s and 1990s prompted a local newspaper, the WALWORTH COUNTY WEEK, to assign reporter Linda Godfrey to cover the story. Godfrey was initially skeptical but later became convinced of the sincerity of the witnesses. Her series of articles later became a book titled THE BEAST OF BRAY ROAD: TAILING WISCONSIN WEREWOLF.
Reports of a similar creature in the neighboring state of Michigan also tell of an alleged wolf-like humanoid, the Michigan Dogman.

There were 87,500 active missing person cases in the US as of 2019, according to the FBI. Even while runaways and non-custodial parents are to blame in the vast majority of missing person instances involving juveniles, the fact that many of those cases remain unresolved is a sobering reminder. It may be agonizing for friends and family members of persons who disappear without a trace not to have any foreseeable closure. We can only hope that someday the real story behind each instance will be revealed.
In that regard, the disappearance of Brianna Maitland has perplexed officials for almost 20 years and is largely regarded as one of the more difficult cases for police. According to the Charley Project, 17-year-old Maitland has been missing since early 2004. Her case as a missing, endangered child has been challenging to investigate.
Brianna Maitland still has not been found. Today, she would be 36 years old. Police revealed in 2020 that they were collaborating with Houston-based firm Othram, which specializes in forensic testing and investigation. In a case that has vexed them for almost twenty years, they are hoping to find fresh clues.

The Saga continued in Elkhorn, this time striking fear into the 1990s. But what is the Beast of Bray Road exactly?
Well, some have called it the Wisconsin Werewolf, which is a fitting moniker for The Beast of Bray Road. The Beast of Bray Road is a local cryptid, much like the Mothman or the Jersey Devil.
A night watchman saw the Beast of Bray Road for the first time in 1936 and reported seeing it. Although its howl frightened him, neither he nor any property was in danger.
People reported enough sightings in the 1980s for the media to pay attention. The beast was huge (about 6 feet tall) and clothed in fur, although not all witnesses concur on the other details.
The Beast of Bray Road has been the subject of several novels, documentaries, and a horror film simply titled "The Beast of Bray Road."

Abilene, a city in Taylor and Jones County, Texas, has a legendary children problem. Said problem was unforeseen by the cattlemen who established it as a stock shipping point on the Texas and Pacific Railway in 1881. Apparently, something on the former Chisholm Trail at the founding of this town got disturbed, stirring up something evil, affecting the children even to this day.

What in the World is a Dogman? Strictly speaking, a creature that exhibits Cynocephaly, having the head of a dog or jackal. In this case, a dog-headed man-like creature. There are historical accounts of this creature. Saint Christopher is depicted as having a dog head. Then there's the famous Anubis of Ancient Egypt mythology. Some characteristics include: it has been seen all over the world, eyewitnesses claim it is diabolical, it can move either on all fours or stand up on twos, it can be seen around cemeteries, there are accounts of lethal encounters with humans, and it has a terrible smell which is a mix of urine, feces, blood, and death.

The disappearances in national parks and wild places have always been a sensitive and divisive topic. Some deny any foul play on the part of criminals or serial killers and blame the disappearances in areas like Yosemite and Crater Lake National Parks on accidents or bad behavior. Other authors and media outlets, such as Coast-to-Coast, have proposed theories suggesting that groups of disappearances and missing person cases are almost certainly connected to paranormal or cryptozoological causes.
