1971. Kirk Douglas, Yul Brynner, Samantha Eggar, Jean-Claude Drouot. A ruthless pirate captures the keeper of a lighthouse, in the most southern city in Argentina. His goal is obvious and horrific. He plans to control the lighthouses signals in a way that the passing ships will be crushed on the rocks.

1930. Richard Barthelmess, Constance Bennett, Anders Randolf, E. Alyn Warren. A Chinese posing as an American goes to Monte Carlo where he falls in love with Alanna, who later goes berserk upon learning his true identity.

1942. Richard Arlen, Jean Parker, Chester Morris. When the O'Glendy Wrecking Company is contracted to demolish an old hotel, "cannonballer" Duke Mason shows up at the worksite, having been hired by boss Mike O'Glendy. Wrecker Tom Kemp accuses Duke of jinxing every project on which he works, and after foreman Matt Carney breaks up the ensuing fistfight, he assigns Duke, an arrogant risk-taker, to work with him on the building's high watertower.
