My honest review of Carnal Innocence, by American author Nora Roberts. This reading came aboug as part of the romance reading challenge thrown by author Janny Wurts.

Janny's challenge list consists of:
Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts - set in the south, surrounding a murder, exquisitely well written and beautiful character work woven into an evocative setting.
Tell Me No LIes by Elizabeth Lowell - plot revolves around Ancient Chinese Art/reads like a thriller - my FATHER loved this one.
Flowers From the Storm by Laura Kinsale - quaker woman whose father shares advanced mathematics with a spoiled, rich aristocrat....who suffers a stroke in a time period when the treatment for brain injury bordered on horrific....this book was a major award winner, again, with well done historical setting and exquisite character work.
Black Silk by Judy Cuevas - if you love brilliantly stunning prose and incredible setting and character work - this book is just gorgeously done, and the character interaction - absolutely top notch.
Prefer to read INDY? Check out Krista Ball's novella, Spirit Caller, set in Nova Scotia with all the color and local flavor of the region, and Rachel - a modern woman with opinions and humor and a zany progressive outlook. The romance unfolds (with a Canadian mounty) over the course of five sequels, and includes a tough, opinionated old woman, Mrs Saunders,- who spikes her lattes and totally won my heart.
