10 Gauge - 0000 Buck (12 Pellet) American Arms “Blackout Buck” Load (Pt 2)

This short has been pulled from the long-form video covering my own 10ga 0000 Buckshot load creation and patterning. This load is formed using “off-the-shelf” components and my own .380” hand cast/chilled/tumbled lead shot. The .380” lead round ball averages 82gr per pellet and a total of 12 pellets are in each cartridge. The total payload weight including buffer is approximately 2-1/4 ounces. The cartridge averages 1,100 to 1,150 FPS velocity, delivering 220 Foot Pounds of Energy per pellet at the muzzle (or 2,640 FPE total for the payload). That is over 800 FPE higher than a 1,300 FPS 9-pellet 00 Buckshot load from a 12ga.
