What have we been up to? Three years off grid living in the Missouri Ozarks.

How To Build a Greenhouse Out of Anything is a multipart series on building a greenhouse with stuff you have lying around your homestead. Modern Homesteading in Minnesota (and elsewhere) is all about doing what you can with what you have. Hence the "Build a Greenhouse Out of Anything" series. Follow our homestead vlog as we attempt to live a rural life 180 from average.

Sometimes you get caught off guard by winter; even when you're expecting it.

Episode 63

In this episode we're leaving Arkansas and heading to Memphis Tennessee for an overnight stay at the Graceland RV Park. Follow along as we stay a night in our RV right next door to Elvis' estate. Oh and we had a little bit of RV surgery that had to happen along the way.

We're a family of SIX living in our RV taking a trip through the South to beat the cold before we head back to Minnesota to resume our farmhouse renovation. In this episode we end ip in Murfreesboro Arkansas looking for Diamonds at the Crater of Diamonds State Park.

We're down in Arkansas with our friends Jess & Jeremiah at Roots and Refuge Farm. We came down to support Roots and Refuge & VW Family Farms at their 1st annual spring Shindig but ended up staying for over a week to hangout with our friends! This is our last full day at Roots and Refuge Farm. Come along with us as Jeremiah gives Sarah a tour of their Greenhouse, Garden, and Farm.

It's been a while since we've released any new videos and you may be asking yourself... Why!? To say we've been busy is an understatement. Follow along with this four part series (Where did we go?) and we'll bring you up to date.

In the final episode of this series we're going to share with you exactly where we went. Did we get our farmhouse remodel finished? If we didn't finish the house renovation, what did we end up doing? All of those questions will be answered.

In this episode Ethan gets some work done on the house and tells you about some ways we've saved a ton of money on building supplies.

It's been really cold in Minnesota lately. We've had to push through the cold, sickness, and very little sleep to try to complete our renovation on schedule. Follow along as Ethan works on framing in our new living room window and tries to get our DIY farmhouse remodel back on track.

The south facing wall of our house is mostly gone. Given that the south side of our farmhouse faces the road, Ethan has a growing concern that we're inviting thieves to steal our tools and supplies.

We get a little help from a friend and it goes a long way! It also helps that the weather on our Minnesota homestead is finally warming up to a comfortable level to get back to work on our DIY farmhouse remodel project.

Everyone is finally feeling better! A cold day on our Minnesota homestead can't stop us from getting the chores done and having a little chat (or maybe it's a debate) about how to proceed with part of the DIY farmhouse remodel. Sarah has a major fear that decides her opinion.
