non conclusive 3 round function test to see if a ar40 bolt, specifically a Stern Defense BU40 (with weight) gets along well with 9mm through a Ballistic Advantage 8.3" modern series barrel. using the MAG-AD9, an ETS 30 round 40 Cal mag to feed 9mm fmj and a cheap 8.3-8.4 oz solid 9mm buffer
With the SD mag block it's probably not a good idea to overcome the magazine spring slapping the bolt release after taking a closer look at the arm the follower actuates.

At this point it's apparent to everybody even the politicians, that the economic effects of their actions will be worse than the Flu Manchu was. the 2020 or 2021 recession is coming so if you still have stable income coming in that's "recession proof" like medical fields be smart with it and if you are laid off or even losing part of your income it's time to drop ethics and pride and grab some of your soon to be wasted tax money back from the government through socialist welfare programs while you still can(it may not last long) and invest it where you and your family or community need it to increase your independence. As they say vote with your wallet, overstepping gubbermint, fed & state got us in this mess ignoring push back from counties, small cities and towns nationwide.

Even at my low level of income they are handing out over $3000 / mo before taxes through UI, $2400 of that is federal CARES crap. taxpayer dollars we don't even have! it's downright absurd, fact is that full time retail employees don't make that, so what incentive do they, or any unemployed person to work the few jobs left in a government forced shut down of capitalism?
We are so screwed, prepare for a serious devaluation of the USD and many others. But I digress, this is no time to sit on a high horse about right & wrong, greed and all that it's time to prepare. Hopefully when the dust settles everything rebounds and We The People learn that big government is big problems. but this could go so far sideways things are upside-down and inside out.

With the small business struggles I am figuring small rural communities will feel the impacts much worse than cities with industry.

The ETS aftermarket Glock mags are affordable and available in configurations not made by Glock but not all of them a reliable, some are just problems.

I do not have my Glock 31 to test with but based on the roughness feeding 40 I don't have high hopes.

took the poopdog to the beach but also diagnosed the Stihl MS260 chainsaw's sudden smokeyness. low quality 2 cycle premix oil, Briggs and Stratton 100107 to be specific when the saw has a muffler mod and is tuned a tad fat at this elevation when using Stihl or Husqvarna oil. the result is a lot of Spooge, the technical term for unburnt oil. problem solved; don't forget to get good oil in the big city(almost 20k pop)

Ain't done much to the gypsy wagon on skids since January. but we did put in a sleep loft last month and today insulated and paneled a small section of wall with recycled pegboard from a Family Dollar reset/remodel I worked this time last year.

Day started off good until I got to the gnarly hill coming out and found a 3 axle water truck in the middle of the road at the steepest part of the pass chaining up. Outer dual chains, no load and no momentum? Alright screw it time to turn around and make another run, not so simple, got stuck in the ditch, wasting a bunch of fuel to get out, barely made it home because some genius put an electric fuel pump on instead of the superior OE mechanical....
