Ciro Batelli was an amazing person! He used to live in Sao Paulo and Las Vegas and the street is named after him. Important? Celebrity? Yes, this man managed to leave Ribeirão Preto and become one of the presidents of the imposing international organization Caesars in Las Vegas.

He was very well known in Brazil and here in Las Vegas. Your circle of friends is huge. One of his best friends is Amaury Junior, who is a journalist and TV presenter. He has lived in Las Vega for many years, but he misses Brazil, but fears the situation of violence that prevails, especially in large capitals like São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

His arrival in Las Vegas began to intensify in 1966, when Caesars Palace was built. From there, Ciro began to study casinos as a hobby. Because he likes games so much, he wishes that one day in Brazil it would be possible to open casinos as well. In the 1970s he was president of the opening committee for casinos in Brazil.

Ciro mentioned that he was a member of the Las Vegas Latin Chamber of Commerce. Traveling to the countryside is always a great experience. The roads are usually surrounded by nature and you can smell the pure air of the mountains. Away from the madness of the big cities, it is great to be back to the countryside and enjoy small towns to relax and detox from the bad things that big cities bombard us every day. I travel there as much as I can. Just a few days are enough to purify and get rid of the pollution, and many other things from big metropolis.

The road trip itself is very relaxing as you can drive very calm contemplating the beautiful nature around. People are friendly, the costs are fair... everything is better. Almost time to move to countryside and go to the city during weekend to visit the family.

Wyndham Gramado Termas Resort & Spa - video walk tour and review below.

We stayed at Wyndham Gramado Hotel in January 2023. The hotel offers pool, restaurant, lobby cafe bar, gym, computer game room, amusement room (mini golf, snooker), kids cinema, sauna (dry and wet), and spacious room.

Wyndham Gramado Termas Resort & Spa is located in the middle of a beautiful nature area. The pool overlooks nature and the thermal water gives an extra touch to it.

The structure is good but there is a lack of outdoor areas to walk or sit. There is no area to walk, run, or simply sit to contemplate the nature.

The gym is very complete.

The pool area includes an indoor and outdoor pool.

A few bad experiences:

1 - crowded pool with no enough sits
Depending on the season, you will experience the pools being very crowded. It is difficult to find a sit in the pool area. The pool opens only 10am!!! If you get up early, you will have the gym available. The sauna and pool start only at 10am.

2 - dinner buffet with no dessert included
The restaurant is open for breakfast (included), lunch (a la carte), and dinner (buffet).
The dinner buffet costs around U$20 but does not include soft drinks or desserts. It is the first buffet that doesn't include dessert I ever tried.

3 - 45 wait for a sandwich in the lobby cafe bar
I waited 45 minutes for a simple and easy-to-make sandwich. I canceled the order after this and got back to my room to eat the food I bought in the city center. I complained about it in the front desk and the staff instruct me to order iFood (believe me, that's true).

4 - Wet Sauna with no eucalyptus essence
You must call the attendant all the time asking him to put eucalyptus essence in the wet sauna.

5 - Unauthorized billing upon checkout
Take a minute to check your billing line per line. Not only me, but other guests are complaining about extra billings. I found a chocolate bar listed that I never consumed.

After some problems, I talked with a random staff and she told me the hotel is experiencing some internal problems. The restaurant cuisine is very slow when it comes to room services, serving the pool area and lobby coffee bar. A lot of cancellations are happening all the time, and they cannot fix the problem.

She told me that the hotel is managed by 2 companies that are suing each other. It is like a big train with no control of the route.

A shame because the hotel has a good internal structure.

The pool should be open at 8am.
The restaurant should prepare the orders faster
The lobby bar should offer more options to eat instantly (cakes, toast, ice creams, fruits, ...) so guests don't need to order and wait

Several improvements must be applied. Wyndham is a good hotel brand, but in the city of Gramado, this hotel is far below its average quality.

Hopefully, some improvements will take place very soon.

From now, I do not recommend you this hotel.
