Much of what people think is new and better spirituality is neither new nor better. "What exists now is what will be, and what has been done is what will be done; there is nothing truly new on earth." (Eccl. 1:9 NET) The purpose of this study is to reinforce the necessity of God's Word as the anchor of truth and light that exposes all falsehood, and to expose all other spiritualist philosophies has having one thing in common: hatred of that true Light by the false light. "For such are fake apostles, fraudulent workers who try to pass themselves off as apostles of Christ. And this should come as no surprise; Satan presents himself as an angel of light. So it is to be expected that his servants also present themselves as servants of righteousness. But in the end they will get what they deserve." (2 Cor. 11:13-15 TGNT)

Idolatry refers to the worship of a cult image or idol as though it were a deity. Is it idolatry to defend and honor the Bible because it comes from God? If so, were all those who gave their lives to preserve the Bible (so Mandela believers could read it) idolaters, or perhaps just fools? How is it NOT idolatry to put one's own subjective memories above the words of God?

It wouldn't be a gift if you had to earn it or had to work to keep it. Instead, you live to please God out of love.

If the Bible is being supernaturally changed, then it is unreliable and thus studying it is a waste of time. Tell me the error in that logic.
