Project Helin allows you to deliver any products with your drones autonomously and completely free.

Check out for further information!!

We believe that autonomous airborne deliveries as well as drone-selfies or air-video-footage will soon be available as a service in many different places.

So we developed a platform that enables everyone to use their drones to provide such a service. Predefined flight-zones guarantee collision avoidance with static objects like trees and houses.

This transmitter may be used with most RC aircraft and is perfect for those preferring OpenTX over Deviation transmitter firmware. There is no longer a need to own multiple transmitters for multiple drones/planes as this new transmitter works with most receivers.

- My transmitter came with OpenTX "open source" firmware already installed (OpenTX-X7 Version 2.2.2). But newer versions will be using fork "JumperTX" firmware. Both are highly configurable allowing the user to customize transmitter settings to exactly how they like it.
- Includes many configurable switches and dials, including four 3-position switches, two 2-position switches, and two analog scroll wheels.
- Backlit LCD screen. I think that this is an improvement over the T8SG V2 Plus' OLED screen which was very difficult (if almost impossible) to read in sunlight.
- Does not have internal RF module. Instead it comes with Jumper JP4IN1 plug-in JR module already installed which includes CC2500, NRF24L01, A7105, and CYRF6936 multiprotocol modules.
- Works with most JR modules, including TBS Crossfire with CRSF.
- Includes micro SD card slot, and voice capability.
- Can be powered by AA, or 2S LiPo batteries.
- It's relatively inexpensive for what it is and can do.

- Does not have Hall effect gimbals like the T8SG V2 Plus. But that keeps the cost of the transmitter reasonable.
- Use of the navigation buttons and firmware are confusing at first, but becomes easier to use with practice.
- Not all features shown in the firmware can actually be used.

If you want to install Haiku in VirtualBox, you may find useful my video “Setting Up a Virtual Machine”:

When creating a new VirtualBox machine for Haiku, set the ‘Type” as “Other” and the “Version” as “Other/Unknown (64-bit)” -- assuming that you have downloaded the 64-bit version of Haiku. Ideally allocate 2GB or more of memory, and create a dynamic virtual hard disk of 4GB or more in size (I used a 6GB virtual drive in the video). Note that before you start you will need to unzip the Haiku download file to extract the ISO needed to set up your VirtualBox install. Note also that there are no Guest Additions for Haiku, which will limit your choice of screen resolutions. Good luck! :)

Stellarators - The Future of Fusion Energy

Tokamaks are by far the most studied type of fusion reactor in the world. So much so that the European union is investing billions of euros, in one of the largest machines ever built by man, the ITER project.
There are many other ideas being explored in terms of magnetic and inertial confinement. While a lot of them are promising concepts, energy production is still a big question mark.

Stellarators on the other hand, offers a cleverer approach to fusion however, due to the complexity of these machines, usually they get more attention for its looks then to its actual ingenuity.

'Fusion energy offers a virtually limitless energy source -- just like that of the sun and stars. And while the concept of recreating the energy of the sun and stars has been around for decades, the reality has proved much more elusive.First observed in the 1950s, muon catalysed fusion is a well known scientific process where a subatomic particle known as a muon* captures two hydrogen atoms and forces them to fuse, resulting in energetic particle release and helium.

Scientists have been producing nuclear fusion reactions from muon catalysed fusion for decades -- just not consistently or in sufficient volumes for it to be considered a viable energy source.

Star Scientific is working towards overcoming these hurdles by perfecting a world-first technique to economically and constantly produce pions, which immediately decay into muons -- an innovation that would finally make sustained, controlled muon catalysed fusion a reality.'

*Muons are the decayed products of a particle called a pion, and are the catalysts in the fusion of two hydrogen isotopes, a process which releases copious amounts of energy. The beauty of the muon is that it acts very much like an electron whose job it is to bond atoms together into molecules. Since a muon is 207 times heavier than an electron, it bumps the electron out of the way and replaces it.

Because the orbit of the heavier muon is much closer, it causes the atoms in the molecule to draw closer until the natural repelling force is overcome and a strong nuclear force brings the atoms together -- causing them to fuse. This process kicks the muon out to do its job all over again some 300 times. This fusion gives us energetic neutrons, which are easily converted to heat in a pressurised water reactor -- resulting in steam which can be harnessed to create electricity.

This video explains why we know that cold fusion is a real effect, why it is not yet a practical source of energy, and why it will have many advantages if it can be made practical.
