How does the oil-less pump perform in comparison to the standard vacuum pump? After purchasing the pump, I retro-fit the current setup and keep it in my enclosed sound control chamber. The new pump was not bought because the original one is too loud... I had taken control of that. I just wanted to stop having to change the oil out on the original pump. I'll show you the new setup and talk about the sound output in comparison.

After my initial run of the Harvest Right Freeze Dryer, I quickly realized how loud the standard vacuum pump really was. Not being able to move the entire setup elsewhere in the house, I was stuck with keeping in the general area around my kitchen. Trying to have family time while running a batch was an impossible task. So I devised an easy way to reduce the noise drastically.

On this video, I show you what you get when from Harvest Right when your freeze dryer gets delivered to your home. We will unpack, go through the contents of the boxes, and proceed to setting it up. You don't want to miss this.

Furniture touch-up and reconditioning (refurbishing) is a quick and easy way to bring life back into a piece of furniture. Whether it is to keep or sell, just a few minutes of your time goes a long way. In this video, I recondition 2 IKEA chairs purchased at a low price because cosmetically it had a few imperfections. It was used for a while at home and when we remodeled the space they were in, I used this opportunity to touch them up to resell for a profit.

In this video, I unbox and give my first impressions of the 12 gallon stainless steel Shop-Vac. I needed to upgrade my portable mini-sized vac with something bigger for my growing home shop, and I wanted to go with a stainless steel model instead of a plastic canister model. This is what I thought about the unboxing, assembly and overall appearance of the Shop-Vac.

My aging 1997 Ford Expedition with it's 4.6L Triton needed a little power boost. I decided to install an AFE air intake system and remove it's restrictive over-sized contraption they call an "air intake". I show you how I did my installation and why I chose the AFE intake over other brands.

I needed to install a counter top water ionizer and under cabinet filter on a rental property. This means that drilling a new hole was entirely out of the question. So what options did I have? Replace the faucet so I can take advantage of the extra hole from the sink to install a make-shift adapter that allows me to bring the water from the under cabinet filter to the counter top.

When a pet chews on a piece of furniture there are 3 ways to handle the situation: replace the piece, repair it, or throw it out. I perform a quick repair on a lower spindle chewed by a dog by using wood filler and a few quick tricks to emulate the original finish. A quick repair to hide the obvious marks and make use of the chair.

Replacing the EGR Valve on a 1997 Ford Expedition with the 4.6L engine is not as difficult as one might think. This same procedure applies to all first generation Expeditions as well as same year F150's with the 4.6L V8 engine.

Sometimes a quick DIY project is quicker, easier and cheaper than taking it to a shop for repairs. When my son's gaming console failed to respond, I discovered it was his circle pad. I found the replacement switch online for around $12 and proceeded to repair it myself. This is one of my lower quality videos... my apologies. But it was extremely helpful to many folks who saw this when I had published it in my previous platform. Enjoy!

Have you ever written on a dry erase board with a permanent marker by mistake? To most folks, it sounds like a devastating error. While there are countless solutions out there to clean it, there are also solutions right at your fingertips. From rubbing alcohol and standard home de-greaser to even the actual dry erase markers. I share quick tips on how to clean that board without any fuzz.

There are alternatives to baby powder and talcum for personal use. My preference is arrowroot. And scenting powders is not as difficult as one would think. A little essential oil usually does the trick. But how do you mix essential oil with powder without making a mess? Quite simple. I show you how.

Garages and closets are probably the two spaces in any home that can quickly get out of control. When it comes to organizing and simplifying, I think closets are easier. I share how I simplified my closet and organized it, employing a minimalist approach to it all.

Home studios can be costly. But they can also be done on a budget for pennies on the dollar. I share my setup, from about 3 years ago, when I started to experiment with different equipment types (cameras, audio, lighting, etc.). What started as a beta stage ended up becoming my permanent studio. I found no reason why I needed to upgrade my equipment since it was serving its purpose just fine. Maybe I will upgrade in the future, but for now, I continue to use the same equipment in all my videos. Watch how easy and how affordable a home video studio can be.

Shop vacs are great. I love them. Whether for general cleaning or some serious messes, the power they possess is amazing. When not using the oversized internal vacuum bags in them, we rely on small paper filter elements over the the suction area of the interior of the vac. Sometimes, these small paper pieces are not easy to buy off the shelf or are simply over-priced. I rely on old spare bags from uprights or canister vacs for this... and save a good chunk of change in the process. Watch how I do it.

Looking to bring life back to some of your automotive plastic trim without messing around with chemicals? Magic Erasure might be the solution. This tends to work on most non-painted plastic trim, depending on the texture. Roughly textured trims will often destroy the Magic Eraser before it can do its job, but smoother trim seems to work just fine. The secret is simply removing the oxidized surface of the trim so that conditioners and protectants can actually penetrate the plastic. This worked well for the rear trim on my wife's truck.

Frameless door designs in early Subaru's are notorious for creating excessive wind noise. While many cases are due to worn down gussets, there are times where the issue lies with the actual weatherstrip around the windows. In the case of my former 2005 Subaru Forester, the latter was the primary issue and cause of excessive wind noise. And I share a simple solution that can serve as a temporary, and often, a permanent solution. With a few minutes and a small roll of flat screen spline, the solution is at hand.
