Full on Trance-Techno. Quality Hi-fi with good woofer recommended. As we're still in lockdown here in Auckland and can't get to clubs, it's designed for dark rooms with a big screen and Hi-fi cranked up with LOADS of bass for a club feel.

I had a wonderful time producing video number 8 in my series of Live Techno performed in local scenic West Auckland spots. This time performing part of one of my favourite sets - "Ode to James Brown" at a beautiful little nook with gorgeous views. As always, full cup headphones and/or quality Hifi system recommended for best sound, especially subs.

This is the very special place where I fell in love with West Auckland and decided to move here from the inner city.
Here's my original audio/visual Trip Hop/Dub tribute.

Luckily I had access to a neighbour's beautiful formal garden to shoot this Techno performance whilst they're away. 5 days ago I had a completely blank canvas. So, I'm proud of how I managed during that short time to compose this original music, piecing together all the elements and practicing it as I went along to reach performance level. I also do all sound and video recording and editing. A very satisfying totally solo production.
I've listened to this through flatscreen TV speakers and it sounds nowhere near as full and rich a sound as when listening through full cup headphones. At risk of preaching to the choir, I suggest using those, or a quality high fi system with LOTS of bottom end and tweeter sizzle to get the full benefits sonically.

I had a blast performing this @ the beautiful Wood Bay Beach Reserve this afternoon as part of my series of "APE X" Techno Videos highlighting our incredible local West Auckland scenery. We really are spoilt! I met some interesting folks, and didn't get any wiring chewed by playful dogs! Onward!
