I’ve been saying it for years, but it bears repeating…

If your computer stays in one place, there’s simply no reason to use Wi-Fi to connect to the Internet.

Turning off Wi-Fi on your computer, and then using an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to your router, is the best way to eliminate a large fraction of your weekly, and yearly EMF exposure.

More and more gadgets are being marketed as “EMF protection”. Do their claims hold up to scrutiny? In this episode, Nick sits down with industry insider and inventor Hagen Thiers to explore this highly controversial topic and help you make better decisions.

A circle member asked us what we personally do to receive phone calls.

I shared that I rarely use my phone, and instead rely on what’s called a “VOIP” to receive calls on my (wired) computer, and receive voice messages in an .mp3 audio format, right in my email inbox.

Brian shared that he keeps his phone on “Airplane Mode” nearly all the time too, and has a voice message that tells people to text him. Whenever he is ready to return his calls, he gets out of Airplane Mode, looks at who texted him, and calls from his wired computer just like I do (using the Signal app, or Skype, or a VOIP - there are countless ways to do that).

During the last masterclass Brian Hoyer and I ran for our EMF Circle members, we showed a video where someone claims that crystals can block the radiation emitted by a Wi-Fi router.

In this short EMF Circle preview, Brian explains that this test is so misleading, on so many levels, that it essentially becomes a marketing scam. (to be fair – some people who use this kind of bogus testing might be willingly misleading, while others might just lack the technical skill and be confused themselves)

In reality –

1) This is the wrong EMF meter to detect wireless radiation

2) What is being detected is the electric field (extremely low frequency/ELF, AKA 50-60 Hz)

3) The person interferes with the EMF detector by physically blocking the antenna

4) This video gives the illusion that a crystal can absorb all wireless radiation near a router – misleading consumers who might be looking for solutions to help them reduce EMF exposure
