Now that the winter's here and the days have gotten short I've been spending a lot more time playing around in the studio.
After getting inspired by all the great work I saw during Inktober I had to break out the acrylic inks and have a bash.
It took a lot of trial and error and failed attempts but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out in the end.

Heya folks

The weather here has been a bit too wild even for me lately so I decided to stay indoors and work on a bigger piece. This is a view of a farm house nestled in the hills above Barmouth on the Welsh coast. It was a beautiful day and the cloud shadows meant the light was constantly shifting and creating these really dramatic effects. I'm glad I had the photos to work from because I think I would have struggled to capture it on location.

Heya folks :)
So I thought I'd try something a bit different and upload some ASMR style videos.

I always find painting to be so relaxing, listening to the sounds of nature when I'm outdoors or even just the sound of the materials when I'm in the studio, and I thought this might be a good way to share some of that experience.

This time I'm painting the shoreline of Ponsticill reservoir in the Brecon Beacons national park.

But don't worry if these long videos aren't your cup of tea. I'll still be uploading a shorter time lapse version of this painting next week.

Heya folks. It's been a while since I uploaded anything but I've been busy working away in the background learning some new tricks.

I've been playing with some new audio software so that I can start putting some of my original music into my videos. I don't know if I'll be doing it for every video (It took me the best part of a month to record the music for this one *o_0). But I had a lot of fun with it and I'd definitely like to do more.

And last but not least I can finally announce the grand opening of my new website

It's still in its infancy at the moment but I'm hoping to flesh it out over the next few months so be sure to keep an eye on things :)
