People will be aware of the cell/mobile phone controversy concerning possible brain damage from using them too much but not many are aware that girls (in particular) put their phones in their back pockets and this can be a factor in later life. Whatever your standpoint about the possibility of microwave or radio waves causing health issues with the brain, why risk it with the future health of any babies these girls may have. The evidence isn't proven because no one is doing studies on this, but having a device in close proximity to the ovaries, with risks of DNA damage, it can only be a sensible preventable precaution to eliminate this? Why risk it. If you look at any high street, observe the youngsters and their phones...where are they placed? What youngster does not have a phone?

Just a brief message posted last night

Here's a vlog I made a while back, based in a city of BATH street. Admittedly this city is Roman based and a lot of buildings date back so will have difficulties. However, some of the shops have made alternative arrangements while others haven't.

This is my experiences of the underground and bus in London. I was aiming to go from Waterloo to Paddington via the Jubilee and Circle lines, having checked with TFL Disability Assistance it was possible.

My efforts had some prior expectation, having watched a fellow scooter user and her experiences. Watch that here: https://youtu.be/a-aAkLB1q64

Anyway, I am not going to spoil the surprise. This is part two of a two part episode.

Anyway, I am not going to spoil the surprise. This is part one of a two part episode.

This is a vlog about my rehabilitation following failed back surgery. This was a dark time for me, as I had not planned for 18 months plus of decreased mobility, lack of support, loss of financial earning and the depressive thoughts of suicide. I used my health knowledge to slowly bring myself back from the brink of inability to a point where I could function again despite the missing elements of authority provided support and care. In all, 7 sessions of physio deemed me "able" to continue alone, 6 weeks of home care to aid me washing and dressing, were all I got. I make the 6 weeks of care sound positively enjoyable, but to experience the non-arrival of people meant to get you out of bed and fed, despite constant complaints, to be left wondering what time the care would arrive, it was as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

Just when you think the Tory persecution cannot get any worse, the Chancellor has come out and said, in plain English, Disabled People in work are dragging down the economy!

I am literally staggered beyond belief. I know they are persecuting disabled people with austerity and benefit cuts/changes, but to blame them for the failed economic policies is a blow too far.

It doesn't make it better if you add: "we should be proud of the achievements" (getting more disabled into work)

I went to Stoneleigh up near Warwick, to attend an annual mobility roadshow where I went to try out some equipment with the objective of seeking an alternative to the scooter. I'd like to buy the "Segway" chair, however, it was £7k, and nowhere near my budget. It would be a mobility product requiring skill and practise, but I found it to be easy to learn and the sales guy said I was natural, then again he would!

Here's a trip I did using my mobility scooter, to show you the accessibility issues people with disabilities have getting around on public transport. This trip I went from Westbury to Bath. Common problems occur such as "having to book" assistance, which makes spontaneous travel impossible. In fact, I have a 3 part series where I test the theory of booking or not booking to see which is best. In any case I did not book and had the staff member moan

I went to this show because I had an invite, being a Motability Vehicle owner. My 3 year rental was nearly up and it was time to choose a new car. I also went to see the innovations and other aids on offer in case anything appealed to me.

This film is from 1974 discussing the right to work for disabled people.

40 years on and this situation isn't much different, except the tory government are victimising and pursecuting disabled people, claiming they are doing it for the betterment, because work pays.

Fair enough, however, disabled people weren't being helped back in 1974 so why is it any different now?

An eye-opening film showing the realities of finding work and keeping it, even now in 2017, its the same as 1974.

In my research for another vlog, I discovered this film about my old school in Bristol.

i WAS there from around 1966 to 1972 and had my formative education enhanced with physical therapy, this was where I learnt to walk.

The channel I discovered the film on and this video is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIQUQKsnur0&t=11s

My Early Years continues with after school, when I left Thomas Delarue boarding school.

I had a year of training course, followed by 10 month in a real job as a stock controller.

I was told by the Jobcentre advisor to go home and not worry about working.

Here's another part of the series discussing my early life. This time from AGE 11 when I was assessed to go to TDS in Tonbridge, Kent.

It was a boarding school for disabled children and I went 1972-1978 and did O Levels. It was closed 1989 and then became a gated community, with very large houses.

This video is about my early life and attending school in Henleaze. It was a special school and is still operating; a world-renowned school for disabled children that I attended age 5-11.

I have select memories of my time there, which I generally enjoyed.

Here's a short vlog I made a while back concerning the questions "what is cerebral palsy" and "how does it affect you" that people generally ask, if they're not too embarrassed to do so. It's not in-depth and does not feature any medical background, it's more of a personal opinion about myself.

A Talkin Really Vlog: Here's some detail about what I used to do, and what I am doing now following my failed back surgery and decreasing mobility.

A Talkin Really Vlog: This is a short vlog about who I am and what I am doing. I will be going into more depth in other vlogs.

Here's a brief resume up until 2013, about my early life and history. I grew up with cerebral palsy and negative attitudes; the employment advisor told me dont worry about work, just claim benefits and the local instructor told me (on achieving blackbelt in karate) I didn't deserve the award! Many times prejudice has reared it's head, met with determination and spirit.
