This past year was difficult for all of us. Publicly, I had some of the greatest successes of my career. Privately, I fought some of the most difficult battles of my life.
Alas - it doesn’t matter if the days were long or the work was hard. It doesn’t matter if the skies were grey or the sea was choppy…we survived.
Personally, I don’t think I would have survived without you guys. I mean that.
Over the years - we’ve all become family. You saved me from the depths of addiction. You rescued me from homelessness. You saved me from the deepest darkness that any man could ever get lost in.
This Friday - I will do my absolute best to thank you with the greatest albums that I could have ever hoped to create.
In my heart, I still feel like a small boy with big dreams of being a rapper. In my head, I know that’s no longer a fantasy…it’s real life. And deep down inside…I know it’s because of you.
It took me 12 years to climb this mountain…but there’s no point of reaching the summit if you can’t experience the view with the people you love.
