Agents Game Power

* I'm uploading select vids from Fash Arcade, my other gaming channel, to Agents Game Power. Visit fasharcade.com for links to Fash Arcade and its non-YouTube mirrors for more videos like this one. *

I have started a spin-off channel over here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgPFZbzqFGXYrhQaj9jmwQw

Agents Game Power is purely about gaming. This new channel will be a bit more...broad. It will focus on gaming and critiques about nasty things in gaming like: SJWs, pozzed narratives, and other stuff many of us are tired of.

Fash Arcade is where I will put my game reviews from now on. These reviews have a little more...edge!

Now with web cam.

This is a follow-up to my first video on first-person shooter level design. In the first video I stepped through a map I developed and explained my design philosophy for creating what I consider engaging gameplay in an FPS. This time I will be examining the Siberia level from TimeSplitters 2. TimeSplitters 2 was released for PlayStation 2, GameCube, and XBox.

I will be examining the PlayStation 2 version of the game.

Recently I got a small amount of disposable income and the idea lingered in my mind, “Should I buy Destiny 2 for the PC?” In the lead up to Destiny 2’s launch I considered buying the game to play co-op with friends despite not being sure I could afford it in the run-up to Christmas. Buying Triple AAA games at $80 Canadian right after release is a rarity for me...

Does the world need another Metroidvania? That is one of those great questions to which I don’t believe anyone has a definitive answer.

Let's take a look at Nightkeep and find out.

Ghoulboy, from Redro games, is a 2D throwback to the lighthearted horror-themed action games of the early 1990s. It plays like a cross between Super Mario Brothers and the first Castlevania on the NES...

I was having a hell of a time beating one particular section of The Great Hall in Slain. That's when I found a winning, but sad, strategy to reach the next checkpoint.

Iron Crypticle, at its essence, is a simple twin stick shooter. It is a re-working of Iron Fisticle, a game released in 2014 for Windows PC. The two games differ in several ways. I won’t discuss the old version of the game, however. This review is solely focused on the updated version, Iron Crypticle.

Patch v1.0.3.0 tweaks Grim Dawn's support for game pads. Admittedly, I never tried playing Grim Dawn with a controller before this patch but I've always been curious to know what Grim Dawn plays like with a game pad. In this video I will take you through the process of assigning skills to buttons on an XBox One game pad and give my opinions about Grim Dawn's controller support.

I purchased Dead Cells right after it released on Steam’s Early Access in May. It has gone through 4 MAJOR updates since then. The latest is called Brutal Update. I will talk a bit about that update as well as a bit about the game in general.

On the surface, Necrocosmos looks like a Metroid clone. But as I played the demo (and sank several hours into it) it became apparent that there was more to this game than just exploring large levels, shooting monsters, and getting lost.

For Quake’s 20th anniversary, Zenimax-owned Machine Games released a semi-official fifth episode for Quake called Dimension of the Past. Quake was originally developed by id Software before id Software was absorbed under the Zenimax umbrella.

Machine Games is the developer behind Wolfenstein: The New Order. That game is an entry into another seminal id Software series, The Wolfenstein franchise.

If you play computer and video games, you probably already have some fun language learning tools at your disposal you may not be aware of: the alternate language track and text translations that accompany many computer and video games.

Yes, you can play computer and video games and learn a second language at the same time.

I put a lot of hours into Shadow Warrior 2 when it was released. I played it solo and online co-op with friends. Between the time I first played Shadow Warrior 2, and when I decided to do a review for it, several patches and free DLC has been released. I have spent a few hours playing the new content and revisiting the old content to prepare for this review.

So, is Shadow Warrior 2 worth buying?

Ter Shibboleth is a Quake episode from KenChennar. It consists of five huge maps each with their own unique theme: The first map contains a replica of the Golden Gate Bridge and a large resort to explore. Another map, Hypnagogic, uses familiar Quake-style architecture, only it looks like it’s been pushed through Alice’s looking glass, stretched like toffee, and viewed under the influence of hallucinogenic substances. Probably the most impressive map, the last one in the episode, resembles a wild west mining town. This map, especially, made me inspect several areas of the environment just to admire its design.

Vanquish is a fast-paced third person cover-based shooter. Take some of the aesthetic style of Halo’s enemies and apply it to those of this title, unfurl a gimped version of Iron Man’s suit and slap it onto Sam Gideon, the character the player controls, toss in the gameplay of Gears of War and a dash of the action found in bullet hell shooters, and you’ve got a concoction that might resemble Vanquish.
