I have been trying to learn how to use Blender. This is just an experimental animation using the following tutorials:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckozSv4b2kU&t=816s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URhyUmi0SRU

Took about 4 hours, mostly fumbling through the program, making mistakes, but learning a lot. Big tip I learned, use different layers, even separating outlines and colors into separate layers. Also, 3D layers does a better job than 2D layers for properly putting things in front of and behind objects. Still need to learn how to warp a 2D object in Blender using lattices.

This is the culmination of almost an entire year of work, with just an hour or so each day available to animate this. I learned so much with this project, it was amazing to see how it evolved during that time. This was originally just going to be one continuous shot, with the character moving back and forth on and off screen. I am quite pleased how well the physics for the tail movements came out, I was worried about this the most, having never done an anthropomorphic character before. Seeing the final project is just so fulfilling. It felt like climbing a giant mountain for weeks, only to ski down it in a matter of minutes, but the ride is totally worth it.

Big thanks to my family for helping be references for this project, i couldn't have done this without you. Final project used around 1950 slides, at various FPS speeds (8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 30; all divisible by 60). Artwork was done in PowerPoint, animation was done in Pencil2D.

P.S. : if you can guess the inspiration for this project, make a guess in the comments below.

Experimenting with puppetry and distance. This took about 2 months to make, off and on

The video says these animations are at 12 and 24 FPS, but in actuality, they are at 9 and 18 FPS, respectively.

I thought it would be interesting to see a ballet dance in space.

About 300 slides at 15 fps

This took some ingenuity to complete. My old computer with iMovie is getting rather old and slow. I still created this with PowerPoint, but I had to use Pencil2D to animate this. It didn't come out too bad, though I really wanted to add sound to this project. Maybe I will at a later date.

Final project used 1287 slides @ 15 FPS
Created using PowerPoint and Pencil2D

This was a project to look at different frame rates of the same animation. Up to this point, I have been trying to do my work at 30 FPS, but as i started rotoscoping, it was taking so long to only produce a few seconds of animation.

Feel free to comment and give constructive suggestions as to how I can improve my work and use my time more efficiently on future projects.

Finally got this second part done. I need to work on pacing for longer projects, especially with dialogue. Used PowerPoint and iMovie.

Finally got over the 1 minute mark. This was my first project using backgrounds, as well as a story line. Used PowerPoint and iMovie to create.
