Humanity here stands on the precipice of its organic extinction and continued existence as an authentic and divine being, with final transformation into a fully automated battery cell for the leeches to gorge upon imminent, for those few unfortunate drones that remain after the great cull for new normal 23. Shipped underground as feeder bees for cloud based Queen bee AIlice.
In near future time the surface lies poisoned beyond organic habitability, all plants GM all animals gone! 'Terraforming for a better safer future' ran the obvious 'ganda. Well obvious only to the sparse remaining sparks, a few thousand spread across the planet...
