Great Christmas carol from Kurt Bestor. Awesome arrangement, and great mix of instruments and sounds. You will enjoy this for many Holidays to come.

Merry Christmas!

A great tradition French carol, "Il est né, le divin Enfant" is the subject of this video, and the song is sure to become one of your Christmas favorites. The title can be translated "He is born, the divine Child."

What a wonderful, fun arrangement on this recording. Kurt Bestor is at his best, making a traditional carol come alive for a new generation. Spectacular recording you will return to year after year, and you will even listen to it in July just to put some spring in your step.

Though this is an instrumental song, here is a popular English version of the lyrics:

He is born, the Heav'nly Child,
Oboes play; set bagpipes sounding.
He is born, the Heav'nly Child,
Let all sing His nativity.

'Tis four thousand years and more,
Prophets have foretold His coming.
'Tis four thousand years and more,
Have we waited this happy hour. Chorus

Ah, how lovely, Ah, how fair,
What perfection is His graces.
Ah, how lovely, Ah, how fair,
Child divine, so gentle there. Chorus

In a stable lodged is He,
Straw is all He has for cradle.
In a stable lodged is He,
Oh how great humility! Chorus

Jesus Lord, O King with power,
Though a little babe You come here.
Jesus Lord, O King with power,
Rule o'er us from this glad hour. Chorus

Breathtaking, transcendental, Wonderful, inspirational, and Incredible are all words that can be used to describe Kurt Bestor's "Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring." It may be the single best piece of Christmas music ever recorded. Take a listen, and you will come back to it again and again. Each note seems perfectly placed, each instrument expertly blends in with the next. It lifts mankind to a higher plane.

Bach's incredibly beautiful "Jesus bleibet meine Freude" meets it's match in this arrangement, and the combination is pure exultation.

Merry Christmas!

What is the most beautiful Christmas music you have ever heard? After listening to this, you will probably agree with me that this is in the top two. It really is that spectacular of a performance.

Kurt Bestor said he tried to compose it in the manner of Mozart, and in the process he created a masterwork. The piano and background orchestration play out in perfect harmony, and the textures and nuance of the recording will make it a lasting part of your Christmas for years to come.

A great, fun piece from Micro-Cosmic's *Seasonings* CD, is probably the most enjoyable version of "Go Tell it on the Mountain" you have every heard. It is a wild combination of New Orleans Jazz with electric and New Age music influences making the arrangement an instant classic.

Here is a great Christmas CD that will make you wonder "Why haven't I heard this before." Seasonings will certainly add spice to your Christmas, as you enjoy it's clever, hilarious and imaginative compositions. The mix of new age and electronic music will help make Christmas fun.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Noël Nouveau is probably the best CD of Harp Christmas Music in existence. In "Coventry Carol" Liza Rey leads with the harp in a Kurt Bestor arrangement of prayer-circle reverence and spiritual feeling. It is beautifully rendered, and has an ethereal, angelic quality to the song.

As this song remembers the horrible killing of infants by Herod, it also calls on us to remember the vulnerability of children. Human traffickers, Groomers, Abortion profiteers, and predators are all too common in today's world, often promoted and propagandized by evil and reprehensible subversives in media, Hollywood, pop culture, and government schools. These modern Herods will not just destroy the lives of children, but all of Western Civilization and Christian Culture.

Here are the lyrics to the carol:

Lully, lullah, thou little tiny child
Bye bye, lully, lully

O sisters too, how may we do
For to preserve this day?
This poor youngling for whom we do sing
"Bye bye, lully, lully"?

Herod the king, in his raging
Charged he hath this day
His men of might in his own sight
All young children to slay

That woe is me, poor child, for thee
And ever morn' and day
For thy parting neither say nor sing
"Bye bye, lully, lully"

Lully, lullah, thou little tiny child
Bye bye, lully, lully

If you like Manheim Steamroller, Jim Brickman, George Winston or other New Age Christmas music, you will probably also like this music. It's fun, mixes in a variety of instruments, and has very compelling composition. Having the harp be the lead instrument gives the music a unique, interesting, and compelling quality.

Liza Rey leads with the harp, Brett Raymond with the arrangement and keyboards, with Michael Dowdle on the Guitar.

Beautiful version of "What Child is This," also known as "Greensleeves." The angelic sounds of the harp move in and out of the piece providing an ethereal, heavenly ambiance to the song. Kurt Bestor does his typical excellent job with the arrangement and keyboards. It is a very thoughtfully rendered piece, and will set a peaceful, calm mood for your celebration.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Sit back and relax to a wonderful smooth-jazz version of "The First Noel" that will give you some "peace on earth, goodwill to man." Enjoy Liza Rey on the harp, Lex de Azevedo on the keyboards, and the excellent backing instrumentalists.

Liza Rey and Brett Raymond combine on this fun, whimsical retelling of the classic carol of sacrifice and giving our all. The Harp gives the piece an overall feeling that heavenly orchestras are performing, while the backing instruments provide interesting textures and nuance.

Merry Christmas!

If you like the Harp, and you like Christmas, then enjoy the best CD ever recorded of Christmas Carols led by the angelic sounds of a harp. The very talented Liza Rey is wonderful on harp, backed up by an array of talented musicians such as Kurt Bestor, Michael Dowdle, Lex de Azevedo, and Holly Gornik among others. The compositions and arrangements are simply spectacular. They range from calm and spiritual, to fun and exuberant. It is sure to become a staple of your Christmas listening repertoire. It is a mix of jazz and new age instrumental music that will have fans of Manheim Steamroller requesting more.

Have a wonderful Christmas.

After listening to this, you will probably either think “what fun Christmas music” or “Why haven’t I heard this before.” This song has become a family favorite, well-loved by everyone. It mixes in a fun version of “Deck the Halls” with a little bit of “We Three Kings.” For good measure, it has a homage to Hayden Symphony 94, “Surprise,” close to the 4 minute mark.

Enjoy a great and wonderful Christmas song whose cleverness and creativity have been known to far too few people.

Liza Rey and the crew do it again. The second song on probably the best Harp Christmas album of all time, brings a sense of Oriental mystery and elicits a vision of the Wisemen trekking across the desert at night. Lex de Azevedo comes in with keyboards to give a solemn background, while the legendary Holly Gornick contributes and extended and contrasting oboe solo.

Best wishes for this Christmas season as we worship the Savior and recognize his birth.

Have you ever wondered what that first Christmas night might have been like? The beautiful, meditative, sweet melody of “Star Carol” may take you back to the manger where the Christ Child was laid, and the star which shone over him.

After listening to this piece, you may well wonder “where has this music been all my life” and “why haven’t I heard this music before?” While I can’t answer those questions, I can say that the rich interwoven instrumentals and smooth melody will warm your heart, and let the peace of the season enter into your mind. Liza Rey on the harp and Kurt Bestor on the harmonica do an exceptional job of bringing Brett Raymond’s arrangement to life.

May you have a joyous Christmas, and may this song help you etch out a little space to relax and ponder on the miracle of Christ’s birth.

If you love Christmas Carols, you will love Noël Nouveau by Liza Rey. It will add a unique, fun and exciting. The album is a great mix of New Age and Jazz instrumental influences, with a bunch of fun thrown in. One of the most enjoyable CDs I own, and the best Christmas Harp CD I have ever seen.

Her version of "God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen" is another classic. Fun rhythm, interesting mix of sounds, spunky deviations, with her awesome harp playing tying it all together. It is something you will want on your Christmas song rotation for years to come. The legendary Lex de Azevedo contributes on the keyboard, while the legendary Michael Dowdle contributes on the guitar. Excellent craftsmanship combining with excellent composition.

May God bless you and your family as you celebrate Christmas this year.

What a fun, delightful twist on “Deck the Halls.” How can anyone not like this number? More great work from Liza Rey and her crew. Such a wonderful work that will brighten your holidays. This comes from the album Noël Nouveau, which is probably the best Christmas music CD that features the harp.

Hope you enjoy it, along with your family and friends. May it make your Christmas even merrier.

I also hope you enjoy the positive messages in the video.

May God bless you and your family this Christmastime.

It is entirely possible that * Noel Nouveau * by Liza Rey is the best Christmas album from a Harpist ever recorded. It is certainly the best that I have ever heard.

This version of King Wenceslas is beautifully performed by Liza and the crew, and wonderfully composed and produced by the legendary Kurt Bestor. They have fused Jazz and New Age in this number, and given it a feel and groove that everyone in your family will exquisitely enjoy.

This recording is hard to find. I have not found it on Youtube or in various streaming services – let alone your local big box store. So I hope you enjoy this and share it with your loved ones. I have made it part of my music rotation for the Christmas season, and hope you do as well.

God Bless

Is this the best recording of a Christmas Carol featuring the Harp? I think it is, but listen and judge for yourself. The entire album is incredible as well.

Liza Rey is so wonderful on the Harp, and was aided by all-star producers Kurt Bestor and Lex De Azevedo. Mix in a talented group of back-up musicians, and the audio is magic. They produced a Christmas album that is simply amazing, and has a very distinctive sound. Their wizardry produced a fusion of Jazz, New Age and Instrumental music that will be a part of your Christmas music rotation from now until the end of time.

I have not been able to find this album in the stores, on music streaming services, or even on YouTube. This is very unique, and I hope you enjoy the auditory feast as much as I have. Be sure and share it with family and friends.

This is purely a noncommercial fan effort to give this exceptional music the hearing and reach it deserves.

God Bless
