A really complex and solid Imperial Stout. A full hit up front w a nice medium burn and a dry if not over clean finish this is a tasty stout. As it warms the complexity just builds but that doesn't mean it's not a good brew at cooler temps, a nice draught around a fire if you will. Running 9.7 ABV 60 IBUs and a whoppingly eldritch 225 SRM/EBC this is just really worth the time. While I didn't get the Creme Brule or Roasted Figs and thank God the Espresso notes it was a delicious albeit heavy brew.Sometimes it pays to have a barbarians palate ;).
Thanks for swinging by and putting some eyes on the project,
E.

A nice chocolate nose w a hint of the bitter to follow. Good Choc hit up front w a long burn thru the middle and a nice chocolaty finish w just a hint of the bitter.
This is a nice solid brew but not the Chocolate Chick beer your old lady might enjoy. Much more beer than hot cocoa and it appreciates all the better for it.
With the ABV running 6.0 the IBUs at 21 and a solid 20+ for the SRM this is an orderable beer but I couldn't knock too many of these back, too sweet and rich. Better suited for a couple by the fire outback than for regular pounding.
Thanks for coming by,
E

Yeah I know it's The Cult, Long day/shit happens.
Anyway this brew comes from the Denver Beer Co, another indie brewery founded in 1979 and celebrating it's 40th Anniversary.
This chocolate porter has a nice chocolaty nose. It hits choclate up front, thins out thru the middle, probably due to its fast burn but comes back chocolaty on the finish with a hint of bitterness. This is a pretty solid brew if you like the chocolates. Running 5.9 ABV with 39 IBUs and a 25 SRM this is a nice kick back desert beer ( do they have those? I know the wine snobbos have the different classifications. Wouldn't surprise me if beer snobbos do to.)
Anyway thanks for popping in,
E.

That Brewery's Fossil Creek IPA is not a bad IPA and would be a nice summer refresher for the hop fans. Citrusy nose with a lite bite up front, fast burn thru the middle, dry on the finish w a slight hop-over. This would make a nice summer brew for just relaxing and having one or two in the hammock. The ABV is 4.2, IBUs are 66 and the SRM is 3 by my eye. While I'm not much of an IPA guy I think you might find it interesting if somewhat common for a nice light beverage of the adult kind.

Another really solid product from Deschutes, but what else would you expect. A nice light hoppy nose, light up front but flavorful, fast thru the middle w a nice clean dry back end. This is a really well crafted brew.

2nd to last of the beers shipped down to me from Oregon by Vexed Partisan. This is a pretty standard American Red Ale w a bit more bite than say something like Killians. Full and bitter in the initial hit, medium burn thru the middle, finishes up a little hoppy on the ass end. Pretty tasty overall and an easy drinker. The ABU is 5.0 the IBUs are 42 and the listed SRM is 15.

This is my favorite local brewhaus. This is my 2nd favorite brew from them and it's a stout that makes me wonder why people think Guinness is so great. A wonderful nose that isn't over sweet nor malty gives you a clue to just how well balanced this stout is.A well crafted beer running 13.2 ABV 62 IBUs and the SRM is 52 . Nice hit up front w a medium burn thru the middle and a nice clean finish without the bitterness you'd associate w 62 IBUs . I will cop to being partial to this brew and this brewhaus but for no other reason than the craftsmanship they've displayed over many different styles. If your an aficionado of the craft beer arts, local or just visiting and don't hit them up you've missed out in my opinion.

A really nice malty nose to start with, light on the initial hit and thinner than I expected. Tasty without the coffee notes you see in a lot of the over toasted malt brews. Medium fast thru the middle and dry on the back end. Over all I'd drink this NQA.
5.3 ABV, 35 IBUs (per the label, the net lied to us in the research phase) the SRM on this is a solid 14 by my eye.
Over all a very tasty brew.

Another winner from the PNW courtesy of Vexed Partisan. This beer turned out to better than I had hoped for. Deschutes makes some very solid beers and this is another in that long list. With 6.4 ABV , 60 IBUs and the SRM of 4 this is a very drinkable brew. They would be fools to let their brewmiester go, he knows his stuff.

Surprisingly good IPA. I was expecting to be face raped by a fir tree on this but it is a quite interesting exercise in the brewers art. Not overly heavy in the piney notes nor buried under the citrusy side this is a blend of both that is intriguing to the palate. Running 6.8 ABV and 70 IBUs the SRM is a 5 by my eye. This was surprise for me since I am not a big IPA guy, I'm not into the bitters. Vexed Partisan has pulled a very nice selection together for me. I hoe he has found the beers I sent him to be enjoyable as well.

This is a really solid Americanized take on a traditional Marzen. Not a fest beer like they serve now but not the standard Marzen either. Neither overly malty nor very sweet they did this one up right. This brew is very well balanced with a nice smooth hit up front, medium burn thru the middle and just a hint of bitterness on the back end. Very crushable at 5.5 ABV ,24 IBUs and the SRM is a 6 by my eye.I know I said in the last vid that I was done w the Oktoberfest beers but I'm glad I grabbed this one.Well worth taking a look at if you come across it.

Another excellent German for their famous festival aka Oktoberfest.
It's a fest bier not a Marzen but that doesn't make it delicious and enjoyable. True to Rietheitsgebot purity standard this is a no brainer.
ABV is 5.9 IBUs aren't listed but I'd say less than 10 and the SRM is 3 by my count.
I know I said Hallertauer for the malt, yes I know its a hop varietal, It was just another brainfart in the long line of brainfarts.
(plus in my defense I was left unattended and drinking so...)
Also the Galactus reference was to Liam Neeson playing him, but I got side tracked in a rant of a minor key.

A really delicious German.
Whodathunkit?
This brew comes in w a nice solid front ,a good middle and it finishes dry if not over clean. While the nose was a little light it hid how good this beer actually is. The ABV is 5.9 the IBUs are less than 10 and the SRM is a 5. No O.G. or Degrees Plato given which is now surprise since they didn't give us much other information on this superior cervesa .
