This is another "Brave New World" beer that I personally don't understand the need for. Its a "lite/diet" IPA which must be an under served market that I didn't know existed. Having a nice pale straw color, a good solid head and almost no lacing they exercised some considerable skill to make this, I just don't understand why they felt the need to. I'm not going to bag on them for making it, I'm sure the niche market is there. I just don't think it's a big enough market to justify the atrocity. That being ranted it is 4.0 ABV 31 IBU w the SRM around 1.
I'm not calling for the incitation of violence on your friends BTW, I meant to imply a friendly cuff to back of the head, such as w did in the old days but w this style it might be marketed to the younger generation who might mistake it for actual violence and need to seek a safe space.
Thx for stopping by. Have a nice weekend,
E.

Widmer Brothers Brewing has a line for people specifically seeking gluten free/reduced beers. This is the lager version and it was quite tasty and well made. A nice frothy ,fast falling head that laces very nicely. A light and tasty nose preceded the flash fast flavor of the beer itself. A super quick fade ending in a nice clean and crisp back end, this is quite good. This is another excellent replacement choice for the Big 10 lite beers if your looking to clean up your foods.
4.6 ABV 18 IBU and the SRM/EDC is 2.

A nice kolsch from a local brewery. Running 4.3 ABV and 19 IBU the SRM is 4 due to its golden color. A nice full bodied Kolsch w a medium burn thru the middle and a dry if somewhat dirty finish. Laces nicely and is a solid choice for a warm afternoons adult beverage. While I didn't get the hints of pear and apple or lemon I do have a barbarians palate so...

A pretty good effort from New Belgium but not as good as the Fat Tire White Ale. This entry is not as tasty as the Belgian White Ale, the citrus notes were too light for me to pick up along w the coriander. Coming in at 4.8 ABV,14 IBU and the SRM is 2,this should be a good competitor for the Big 10 lites. It's an easy drinker and if you not fond of a strong beer flavor this should work for you. The hops are Target , the malts are Pale,Carapils and Wheat and they used their regular house yeast for this brew.
Thanks for swinging by and watching, have a good rest of the day,

This beer has been around for 25 years. That's some staying power and speaks to how well crafted it is.It has been the flagship of the line and even has it's own merch for the hardcore fans.
Running an ABV of 5.2 with 22 IBU and SRM 17 this is a solid choice for quaffing a few. Brewed w Williamette, Goldings and Nugget hops they've used the house yeast and a combination of Pale, C80, Munich and Victory malts to produce just a fine, tasty, good knock back a few brew. There's a reason it hasn't changed in a quarter century and that is because it didn't need to.

New Belgium's IPA Voodoo Ranger is another of the IPA brews that are so popular. Piney up front w a hint of citrus, medium burn thru the full middle and a dirty bitter finish. Not being a big IPA guy I'd still call this drinkable but not one for the rotation. At 7.0 ABV w 50 IBUs and an SRM of 4 it's an acceptable brew but not really to my liking. I'm not a bitter guy and pine isn't one of my favorite flavors. All in all it is one of the more popular beers out there and since there is no accounting for taste who am I to disparage the popular kids. Oh thats right I'm one of the people who think the popular kids are sheeple so...

A really delicious sour that they should consider putting in the regular rotation. A nice sour nose from the house yeast and a deep purple hue from the syrah wine grapes used to brew this small batch sour made me slightly apprehensive about this beer. More than once I've sampled the experimentals and wondered who authorized the release to the drinking public. That is definitely not the case here. At 7.9 ABV (per the bottle,8.7 on the internet. one of them must be correct) and 23 IBUs I'm guessing the SRM to be 10 since the hue is deeply purple. The initial hit is sour, really sour but not in a bad way. The middle builds to a nice full mouth and tails off to a tart crisp finish reminiscent of tart cherry. This is a very dry ale over all and I would love to see what the keg version is like in comparison.

Really tasty w a light citrus nose and a full on citrus hit up front. The initial hit burns off fast and leaves a crisp and somewhat tangy finish. A very nice afternoon drinker in the dog days. 5.2 ABV, 12 IBU and a SRM of 4 this is going into the rotation. I would order this on tap if I ran into it NQA.Well worth a look for the Blue Moon fans if you've decided not to drink the GMO/Glyphosate Koolaide. Employee owned so I'm assuming its a non GMO product, I couldn't find any info on line indicating otherwise.

A pretty decent sour. A little vinegary, vinegarish, vinegaresque (?) for me.
At 4.5 ABV 10 IBU with an SRM of 4 this isn't a bad brew but I prefer my sours to be less acidic. A smooth drinker w a building flavor, light up front, full middle and a dirty finish that lingers it's drinkable but not my 1st pick.

An excellent brew from one of the top line breweries in the states. A full bodied well crafted beer, she hits full and rich up front, medium fast burn thru the middle and a very clean finish. This a delicious beer but it is a sneaky one as well. At 9.5 ABV 25 IBUs and an SRM of 3 it goes down smooth and catches up w you when you make a run to the head. This is much better suited to cooler temps and milder climes but I still wouldn't turn a nose up at it. A better choice for the high ETOH content than the IPAs in my book but there is no accounting for taste so be it as it may.

A nice smooth lager w an initial hit that builds into a full middle and fades to a nice although not particularly clean finish. 4.4 ABV w 20 IBUs and an SRM of 4 this lager was cloudier than usual but still a perfect brew for a nice summers afternoon. This definitely going into the rotation for the summer refreshment cycle.Check this out ,you will not be displeased w the results provided you enjoy the lighter flavors of the lagers to slake your thirst in the dog days of summer.

A really nice well crafted beer. With the toned down Belgian yeast it's really opened up the market to the softer mainstream palates. I'd give this a 4.0/5 in drink-ability the only caveat being it's likelyhood of GMO contamination since it's a Miller/Coors product. At 5.4 ABV and less than 10 IBUs it's another easy drinker. Having a very nice hit up front, super fast middle with a clean and dry back end you don't need to add the orange slice but it wouldn't hurt this brew.

Ska Brewing Teamed up w Rancid to produce this easy drinker. A solid entry in the Golden Ale category at 5.0 ABV 25 IBU and an SRM of 5 ( no more like 2)
Light flavored and clean and crisp this is a good easy afternoon drinker.
Thanks for putting some eyeballs on my work.

(I do not remember if it was Dom or Jordan who hooked me up w this, sorry its been a little while and a long week. Both excellent fellows and I thank you both for the help w this project.)This is delicious brew. Nice flavor up front w a medium fast burn and a clean finish. A very tasty beer. Not as heavy as most farm house belgians in the yeast flavor due to the in house grown yeast strain. All around a well crafted solid knock back brew. 6.8 ABV 25 IBUs and 4 SRM this would be one of my regular after work brews.

The newest from Firestone Walkers experimental section. About on par with their earlier efforts, interesting for its own sake. Luponic Distortion 13 is another solid effort from them but to tell the truth it doesn't really stand out from #12 to me. Flavorful front w a nice but not overly hoppy hit, medium fast burn thru the middle and a clean finish which I didn't expect. 5.9 ABV 35(?) IBU and a SRM of 3. No lacing present and a fast falling head. Not a bad brew, glad they keep trying, just not my cuppa.

A nice mellow brew good for an afternoon cold one in the yard or out at the beach bar watching the sun set as the world turns. A sweetish hit up front w a medium fast fade and a clean crisp finish. 4.8 ABV and less than 10 hops this is a solid choice for a kick back beer.
