BLACK BURNED BLIMP
Sounding like a speedfreakin' monster having a visit in disneyworld,
Black Burned Blimp combines experimental rock (with a pinch of punk) with the heavy sound of stoner and top it of with some
psychedelics here and there.
The band consists of Eric Broers (vocals and guitar), Arjan Broers (drums), Michaël van der Meer (guitar and keyboards) and Jurjen van Wingerden (bass).
After 3 years of performing and the release of a demo EP and their full length album Crash Overdrive, Black Burned Blimp is currently working on multiple EP’s and new ways to entertain their audience. One of those ways is playing live stream shows. The other is a gaming podcast/youtube show called TGB (Tunes, Games and Beers), where members of the band listen to bands (from local to worldwide), play videogames, drink beers and have a good laugh.
Black Burned Blimp is not your normal type of stoner rock band.
Although the basis is relatively stoner-oriented, it is highly influenced by pop-like chords, which in turn are supplemented by psychedelic synth sounds and occasionally almost punk tempo drums.
If bands like Kyuss, Fu Manchu, At the Drive-In, Faith No More, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age and Nirvana would have a
child in some morbid way, that child would be Black Burned Blimp.
