We will be looking at Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy, France.

The structure has an accompanying myth and legend which are only fitting of a construction so immense. This fortified island began as a Church built high upon the cliffs, surrounded below by water and quicksand.

The history only becomes more fascinating the further we dive in, so today that is exactly what we will do. This video will showcase the oldest known photographs and artistic depictions of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy which I could find.

L’esempio classico del “culto del carico”, detto anche degli “adoratori degli aerei” o “culto dei doni celesti” è quello degli indigeni della Melanesia, i quali continuarono a invocare gli aerei affinché portassero altri doni, vestiti e cibo in scatola, come era accaduto durante la seconda guerra mondiale, quando le loro isole erano diventate basi americane, e per questo realizzarono una serie di imitazioni associate a quegli aerei e ai piloti, del tipo cuffie fatte con noci di cocco, torri di controllo fatte con pali di legno, etc...
