A particle system I made a few years ago using vanilla JavaScript, no WebGL or WebAsm. It has a plugin based system including physics (gravity, turbulence, vortex, wind etc.), renderers (canvas, html etc.) and various emitter types (point, line, grid and so forth.) I never got to the 3D version (also a render plugin), but I might pick up on this later on.

Some short demo cases shown here. It's no longer available online.

One of my favorite classics in the jazz genre is Chales Trenet and La Mer (1946). Perhaps the biggest export from France (in music) besides from Edith Piaf.

It was actually recorded first with a different singer in 1945, Roland Gerbeau and Trenet made a new version the year after which became the hit we know today. There exists more than 4,000 versions of the song incl. versions by Bobby Darin (eng. version "Beyond the sea"), Cliff Richard, Demis Roussos and many others.

I did a quick re-sync (only approximation) of a live performance video on top of the original 1946 version of the track, mixed with footage from the French riviera (1937) to give it some life. The "B-roll" cuts are more or less random and serves to cover the parts that aren't easily syncable from the performance ;) as the live performance leans towards chanson jazz and thus has a different rhythmic base than the original version.

An official remix I made for Fleur choosing a relaxing sound.

Mashup. Test loop to see how well they fit.
