ALL CHRISTIAN FOLLOWERS PLEASE NOTE --- When I listened to a requested cassette tape of Howard Stern on-the-air in Hartford.....late 1979....and was impressed with his so-called (as they say in my former industry)....."unique, non-derivative, original voice"....he had absolutely ZERO potty-mouth humor in his pretty much non-existent radio presentation. This was before David Letterman and before ANYBODY considered "shocking" with the exception of maybe Lenny Bruce, comedian Richard Pryor and George Carlin. "HINDSIGHT IS 20-20". I hired him and only OF HIS OWN FREE WILL....mostly after we parted ways in May of 1980....did Stern elect to build his fame and fortune via the "lowest common denominator" method of talking about body parts and sex, sex, sex. I hired him for his refreshing and boldly different PERSONA....and at no time did I authorize or lend my approval to his "taking the dirty route". 95% of that stuff happened after I was gone.

WHY.......WHY......after about 40 years.....did I decide on Friday, December 6, 2019....while climbing a pristine Andes mountain near Santiago, Chile at 8 a.m....to set the record straight regarding how HOWARD STERN got his big break in radio (moving from tiny WCCC-AM in Hartford, CT., where in 1979 he was earning only 15K per year) all the way to at that time America's fifth-largest broadcasting market, Detroit.....AND....in the same video.....also to explain how almost exactly one year later, in Philadelphia.....purely in a "necessity is the mother of invention" way.....I invented / implemented the today globally-ubiquitous CLASSIC ROCK FORMAT ?? --- Do I seek fame and / or fortune? Nope. --- I choose only to correct two quite (up to this point....again, forty years later) INCORRECT records. There is absolutely no hidden agenda going on here. Again, in lieu of what EASILY might have been two separate best-selling books....one about my time as discoverer and boss of Stern....the other about how the Classic Rock format came into existence....I opted at this very late point to record a video AIMED MOSTLY AT RADIO AND RECORDS INDUSTRIES FORMER CO-WORKERS.....SOME OF WHOM CONTINUE TO WORK TODAY. Graduated with a degree in Political Science from the excellent department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In this video, I tell the REAL STORY ( !! ) of how living conditions in Venezuela went from INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL to horrific, thanks to increasingly stricter sanctions first imposed when HRC went down to then-president Hugo Chavez and said....."Beginning today, you WILL NOT SELL YOUR OIL ON THE OPEN MARKET....AND TO TEACH YOU A LESSON, MY COUNTRY IS IMPOSING ECONOMIC SANCTIONS". Round one happened in January of 2015....the first of many more....each designed to choke the air out of Venezuela's thriving economy (people were getting rich....schools, hospitals, dental clinics....all were world-class). With NO IMPORTS ALLOWED....but the same demand for basic human needs....of course such scarcity due to a 90% reduction in imports through their port at Maracaibo led to ASTRONOMICAL inflation...of course, blamed on "evil Chavez".....merely a victim of the USA doing what it always does....defending its precious petrodollar regardless of the human cost. Today, I'm an evangelist in Santiago, Chile....an ex-pat American here for the last five years....and I'm far closer to the Venezuelan PURE AMERICAN IMPERIALISM / GLOBAL BOSSINESS scenario than almost anyone. In my video, I give a hats-off to brilliant reporter Abby Martin of YT channel "The Empire Files", first to expose this move by then Secretary of State HRC under Obama. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THIS VIDEO IS THE TRUTH. I spent 40 years on Top-5 American market FM radio stations and consider myself a self-taught expert in geopolitics and macroeconomics. Here's a question --- Besides almost unlimited petroleum...."What ELSE is in Venezuela that the United States wants so very desperately?" The answer will surprise you.
