Trường CĐ Văn hóa Nghệ thuật & Du lịch Nha Trang CDK tiền thân là Trường Lý luận nghiệp vụ Phú Khánh, được thành lập vào ngày 01/7/1978.
+ Ngày 08/01/1988, do yêu cầu phát triển chung của địa phương và nhu cầu đào tạo cán bộ ngành Văn hóa Nghệ thuật có trình độ trung học, trường Lí luận nghiệp vụ Phú Khánh được nâng cấp thành Trường Trung học Văn hóa Nghệ thuật Phú Khánh.
+ Năm 1989, Chính Phủ quyết định chia Phú Khánh thành 2 tỉnh Phú Yên và Khánh Hòa. Do tọa lạc trên địa bàn Khánh Hòa nên từ đó trường mang tên Trường Trung học Văn hóa Nghệ thuật Khánh Hòa.
+ Với sự phát triển nhanh về quy mô ngành nghề đào tạo trước nhu cầu của xã hội , năm 2003, Trường Trung học Văn hóa Nghệ thuật Khánh Hòa đã đệ trình đề án xin nâng cấp thành trường Cao đẳng Văn hóa Nghệ thuật & Du lịch Nha Trang. Ngày 05/7/2004, Trường Cao đẳng Văn hóa Nghệ thuật & Du lịch Nha Trang chính thức được thành lập. Năm 2005, nhà trường được vinh dự đón nhận phần thưởng cao quý của Nhà nước : Huân chương Lao động Hạng Ba.
