I was privileged to be in the district for our Challenge the Culture conference and had the rare opportunity to interview our candidate in studio rather than via zoom. This ambitious project envisions a facility in fire stations across Canada where women struggling to care for a newborn baby can safely and anonymously surrender the child into the care of people who will make sure it’s kept warm, properly nourished and taken into a good foster home or adopted. May 9, 2023: I’m pleased and honoured this week to once again have the opportunity to speak with Harold Jonker of Jonker Trucking. Harold has been trucking for 28 years and in early 2022, took part in the Truckers Freedom Convoy. Now, 15 months after the convoy was forced out of Ottawa by a brutal and overwhelming “military-style” police action, Harold has been ordered to report to the Ottawa police to face charges related to his involvement with the convoy—charges of which he is not guilty. He and his wife Janice and their 13 children are facing this development with faith and complete trust in the Lord. May 4, 2023: My very special guest this week is Dr. Haywood J. Robinson, Director of Medical Affairs and Education for 40 Days for Life. Dr. Robinson had a dramatic conversion in 1986 and became a follower of Jesus Christ. He and his first wife, Noreen (who passed away in August 2021) had both been abortion providers before their conversion. They then became solid pro-life supporters. Dr. Robinson helped start the 40 Days for Life organization. He is now remarried; he and his second wife, Daphne, work tirelessly to save pre-born lives; between them, they have eight children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Dr. Robinson will be speaking at the March for Life in Ottawa on May 11.

David and I discuss a platform plank that would completely eliminate the national income tax and replace it with a much fairer and less intrusive national sales tax. March 9, 2023: My special guest this week Päivi Räsänen, a medical doctor and, for the past 28 years, a Member of Parliament in Finland. Päivi has been Minister of the Interior for Finland, Chair of the Christian Democratic Party of Finland and has held many other prominent roles. In 2019, she was criminally charged for having tweeted Bible verses regarding gender confusion and a biblical view of sexuality. She was unanimously acquitted by a district court but now is scheduled to appear at the Court of Appeals to defend her views. She is standing firm on the Word of God and defending her beliefs and her right to free speech in a democratic society.

February 16, 2023: My guest this week is Brian Atherton, who has been on our program before. Brian is a current Director and former President of the Bulkley Valley Rod and Gun Club in northern British Columbia.

Brian reviews the disastrous path of Bill C-21, the awkward and poorly-researched Liberal attempt to restrict, prohibit and confiscate legally-owned firearms from conscientious and law-abiding citizens. We speak about the clumsy amendments the Liberals were forced to withdraw from the Bill as a result of public involvement and feedback to our MPs. The outcry has been quite dramatic and seems to have taken the PM by surprise. The Bill has not yet passed and there is still time to express your opinions.

Brian encourages citizens to get involved in community organizations like the BV Rod and Gun Club and to continue to discuss important issues like these with their MPs and MLAs.

January 26, 2023: My guest this week is Josh Alexander, a 16 year-old high school student.. Josh is a proud Canadian and a student walkout organizer. He is best known for his activism in the schools during the Freedom Convoy . . . and more recently, the issue of male students using female washrooms in school. He attends St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Renfrew, Ontario but is currently under a “temporary exclusion” from school for expressing his deeply-held Christian beliefs that the privacy of biological female students should be protected and that biological males should not be permitted in private spaces like girls’ washrooms.

January 13, 2023: My guest this week is Barry Neufeld, former Chilliwack School Trustee of 27 years. Barry brings us up to date on his Supreme Court defamation case against Glen Hansman, the spurious new accusations brought by Trustee Carin Bondar* and the long-standing Human Rights case he’s been fighting for over 5 years regarding public comments about the child abuse perpetrated through BC’s SOGI curriculum. We also mention the upcoming Biblical Sexuality Sunday on Jan. 15, 2023.

*We decided not to screenshare footage from Carin Bondar’s anti-God, anti-creationist video as it was just too crude. In it, she appears nude on a wrecking ball, symbolizing the destruction of Christian morality and belief. It was this scene that Barry was responding to when he called her a “strip-tease artist”, a label to which she objects and the basis of her lawsuit.

December 29, 2022: My guest this week is Jacob Reaume, Senior Pastor at Trinity Bible Chapel in Waterloo, Ontario. Jacob is the Executive Director of a recently-released documentary: Antichrist and His Ruin. The film takes its name from a book written by John Bunyan in the 17th Century; it highlights the Canadian pastors who have taken a stand in resisting tyrannical government edicts over the past couple of years. We discuss the film and the importance of churches holding to the biblical view that Christ—not any human government—is head of the church.
