"The Nokia 3310 is a GSM mobile phone announced on 1 September 2000, and released in the fourth quarter of the year, replacing the popular Nokia 3210. It sold very well, being one of the most successful phones with 126 million units sold worldwide, and being one of Nokia's most iconic devices. The phone is still widely acclaimed and has gained a cult status due to its durability." The original Nokia 3310 as described by Wikipedia.

The new Nokia 3310 as described by Wikipedia, "Nokia 3310 (2017) is a Nokia-branded mobile phone developed by HMD Global. It was announced on 26 February 2017 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, as a revival of the original Nokia 3310 that was produced from early-to-mid-2000s. An improved model with 3G support was released on 29 October 2017."

"Manjaro is a user-friendly Linux distribution based on the independently developed Arch operating system. Developed in Austria, France, and Germany, Manjaro provides all the benefits of the Arch operating system combined with a focus on user-friendliness and accessibility.

"Manjaro uses a Rolling Release Development Model, whereby rather than being replaced, the same core system will instead be continually updated and upgraded. As such, it is not – nor will it ever be – necessary to re-install a later release of Manjaro in order to enjoy the very latest and most up-to-date system possible. By virtue of keeping an existing installation updated, it is already the latest release." From the Manjaro Linux website.

In today's video, I take a look at KDE Neon, an Ubuntu based Linux distro running the latest and greatest KDE apps.

From the KDE Neon website, "You should use KDE neon if you want the latest and greatest from the KDE community but the safety and stability of a Long Term Support release. When you don't want to worry about strange core mechanics and just get things done with the latest features. When you want your computer as your tool, something that belongs to you, that you can trust and that delivers day after day, week after week, year after year. Here it is: now get stuff done."

Valve have recently announced a new feature of Steam Play which allows Linux users to play Windows games on Linux through their official client.

Introducing a new version of Steam Play
https://steamcommunity.com/games/221410/announcements/detail/1696055855739350561

From Valve's initial press release.
"In 2010, we announced Steam Play: a way for Steam users to access Windows, Mac and Linux versions of Steam games with a single purchase. More than 3000 of the games that have been added to Steam after that point have included Linux support, with more titles being added every day. Since then, we've continued to look for ways to make more titles easily accessible to Linux users.

"So, two years ago, we started an effort to improve the quality and performance of Windows compatibility solutions for Steam games. A lot of our work has been in the form of supporting Wine[www.winehq.org] and other existing compatibility projects. We have also been integrating these tools into the Steam client to provide the same simple plug-and-play experience offered by regular Linux games.

"Our goal for this work is to let Linux Steam users enjoy easy access to a larger back catalog. We think it will also allow future developers to easily leverage their work from other platforms to target Linux. This would give them the option of focusing on areas that would make a meaningful experience difference for all users instead, such as supporting Vulkan[www.khronos.org]."

When looking to Linux from Windows, there are many questions that get raised. In today's video I hope to answer some of your Linux questions about Linux based operating systems.

The full comment as left my Audio Visual Post:
--------------------
Glad I found this video. I'm using Linux Mint 19 right now via a USB drive. Still haven't decided to install it alongside Windows 10. One reason is, I tried to install Zorin 12.4 Core and it did not recognize my Windows 10 OS stating, "No other operating systems have been detected on this machine." , and gave me an only option to format my drive and install Zorin. I DID NOT by the way! lol. I like the feel of Linux and want to learn as much about it as possible but I do not want to get rid of Windows 10 for gaming purposes and video editing software and uploading to Twitch and maybe YouTube again. SO HERE ARE 6 QUESTIONS I HOPE CAN BE ADDRESSED. ^_^

1. Do I need to partition my C:\ Drive first with the required amount of hard drive space to successfully install Linux. Linux usually states 4.5 GB of hard drive space is needed but I plan on allocating around 20GB seeing as I have 72GB of free space. Any advice on how much space to allocate is appreciated.

2. I am using my Samsung TV with HDMI. What setting do I need to look for to switch between monitors?

3. How come Linux Mint 19 isn't recognizing my two SSD Drives but recognizes my detachable drives? Is it because I haven't installed Linux fully?

4. How effective is WINE at running Windows 10 apps? I have an MSI GT80s gaming laptop and software such as Dragon Gaming Center, Silent Option fan control, MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner are important decision makers when switching bteween OS'es.

5. Will Linux be compatible with Nvidia graphic drivers? I will have to do some research to find out if Nvidia makes compatible graphic drivers for Linux.

6. If WINE works acceptably well with Windows 10 software, will I need to keep starting WINE each time or is there some sort o..
