Masks mandates should not be in place. People have been wearing masks improperly risking contamination. People should have the option to wear them, but only with proper education. 5 people, some who volunteered to be part of the initial vaccine trials, tell their personal injury stories. They have been ignored and are looking to be heard and believed. Not sure there will ever be any long-term safety data that represents the real possibilities of injuries and deaths due to shots. The PCR testing strategy has enabled ongoing & unconstitutional mandates. The only options being proposed in California are to either take an experimental shot where deaths and injuries have been reported at alarming rates or test negative on a completely inadequate PCR test or risk being discriminated against.
Mask mandates are also directly connected to the problems with testing. But their overall effectiveness has also been highly questioned. There are many issues that have never truly been considered with masks. Micron size, aerosols, how the public actually wears them with improper usage and handling. The lack of effectiveness with cloth and surgical masks that may also lead to cross contamination and the potential to transmit the virus more should have been a part of the conversation. There are also dental concerns. Side-by-side analysis with other states doesn't support their usage. Difficulties with n95 masks exist with proper fitting for each usage and taking a physical to determine whether somebody is actually healthy enough to wear them. Masks should not be mandated and should only be optional. That includes the citizens who have chosen not to take the shots or cannot take the shots due to medical or religious reasons. Natural immunity must also be considered for those who have gotten the virus. At this point in California, we have very high vaccination rates, low cases and hospitalizations, and people should be allowed to work and live freely regardless of their vaccination status. We must put an end to allowing and/or mandating that business owners monitor their employees vaccination status.
Please understand that in June 2020 Governor Newsom obtained power to withhold funding from any County that didn't follow the state's public health recommendations. But in January 2021, after getting pressured by small business owners, he refused to release the data. He said it was too complex and it may confuse people. In a time where he should be defending his decisions even more through total transparency, he chose to do the opposite. Now California is looking to discriminate against people who choose not to take experimental shots that were rushed to Market under emergency use authorization where we have no mid or long-term safety data.
