JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered/Missing Person Alert for a 16-year-old girl.

Amenia Thomas, of Jackson, is described as a Black female around five feet, six inches tall, with black and purple locs and brown eyes.

Going all the way back to July of 2020, the city of Jackson, Mississippi has been virtue signaling and threatening or promising their woke, liberal base that they were going to remove the statue of the city's namesake.

PICKENS, Miss. (WLBT) - Two men were caught by Mississippi law enforcement after an armed robbery of a Dollar General using an “altered” gun.

Marshall Howard and Ivyon Anderson robbed a Dollar General in Pickens, Miss. at gunpoint, and ran from the scene.

In a Facebook post, the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Office states that the two individuals were tracked by a K-9 officer who could guide law enforcement to their location.

The men were found within a few hours of searching near Gas Plant Road with weapons and a large amount of money.

Reportedly, both of the weapons used during the robbery were “AR-styled,” one of them being altered to contain a “switch.”

Having this alteration made the weapon fully automatic.

The Pickens Police Department asked for assistance from the sheriff’s offices of Holmes County, Madison County, Attala County, and Yazoo County.

The other agencies responded in minutes, according to the Yazoo County Sheriff’s Department.

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - One of the two girls who went missing from Louisiana has been found dead in Jackson.

On Thursday, an Amber Alert was issued for 4-year-old Erin and 6-year-old girl Jalie after their mother, Callie Brunett was missing for over 24 hours before being found “brutally” slain in her home on North Cooper Road in Loranger, Louisiana.

Thursday afternoon, the body of a girl believed to be Erin was found in the woods along Boozier Drive. Jalie has been taken to the hospital for treatment.

“We have a very active scene here right now. Very traumatic scene,” Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said. “The death of a four-year-old child, but the suspect is in custody.”

The manner of the child’s death has not been determined.

The suspect, according to Wade, is Daniel Callihan. The 36-year-old was arrested by U.S. Marshals after leading authorities on a chase.

Jackson Police officers were called to the 3900 block of Boozier around 2:35 p.m. to assist the Marshals in helping find the suspect after Callihan’s vehicle was spotted.

“After a short pursuit, they made contact with him and he’s now in custody,” Wade said. “Mr. Callihan is also a suspect in a homicide that happened in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana.”

Wade thanked the numerous agencies that assisted, including the Marshals, the Jackson Field Office of the FBI, the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, the Byram Police Department, and officials from Tangipahoa Parish.”

“If you know anything that has been happening here on Boozier, please contact the Jackson Police Department,” he said. “We have contacted MBI’s Human Trafficking Division, along with Hinds County’s Human Trafficking Division. We also have our Juvenile Division on the scene.”

“What it looks like, this may be a location where there has been some human trafficking done. We see cages - small animal cages. [It’s] very, very disturbing to me as a police chief, and as a father, to witness and see what I..

House Rep. from District 60 Fred Shanks joins the Clay Edwards Show this morning this morning with Shaun Yurtkuran and myself for the full 2 hours to discuss a wide range of topics from current events to bills they're working on down at the state capitol.

1- We take a look at the horrific murder of a 4-yr old Louisiana girl that along with her 6-yr old sister were kidnapped by the same man who brutally murdered their mother Thursday morning in Hammond, LA. The crime scene unfolded on Boozer dr. in South Jackson, which is a street well known for white meth head, squatters. According to the Chief of Jackson Police it appears the home was being used for human trafficking, there's also reports of failure from the 911 operators to actually dispatch the police to the area

2-State Auditor Shad White has decided that writing a book about his battle with Mississippi sports icon Bret Favre would be a good political idea, I disagree and discuss with Fred and Shaun.

3- With all of the economic development going on in Mississippi why does it appear that Hinds and Rankin are missing out on these mega Amazon like developments when we have the real estate and roof tops for workforce?

4- Fred has been at the center of a hot button topic concerning the potential removal and replacement of Mississippi's two confederate statues in the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.. We get Fred on the record to discuss the potential of that happening and what would have to happen for their removal to become a reality.

Our very own Shaun Yurtkuran sat through day #1 of the Jordan Cummins double murder trial (St. Paddy's Day Murder suspect). We take a look at the evidence and discuss how we think it plays out.

Wife of Dau Mabil (black man that was missing then a few weeks later was found dead floating in the Pearl River) gives update. Strangely it seems as if she was blaming the police for him missing and suggesting that his race played a role in it.

House Rules Chairman Fred Shanks will likely consider legislation next year that would replace Mississippi’s two statues of Confederate leaders at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, a move that would follow the lead of several other Southern states.

Shanks, a Republican from Brandon, told Mississippi Today on Monday that if House Speaker Jason White refers a measure to his committee in the future that would replace the state’s statues of Jefferson Davis and J.Z. George in Washington, he would seriously study the legislation.

“The things I’m going to take into consideration is how much it costs and if we have the votes,” Shanks said. “So I’ve got a lot of work cut out for me. I got asked about it this year, but we had so much else going on that it was impossible to get to it. But it’s going to be a major decision.”

While Democratic lawmakers have filed measures to replace the statues for years, Shanks’ recent comments are the first significant movement by GOP legislative leadership to replace the statues that the state placed in Washington nearly a century ago.

The Legislature could create a committee to decide on possible replacements, similar to the one made in 2020 to recommend a new state flag, or lawmakers themselves could pick the replacements.

Shanks said he’s open to different ideas when selecting new statues, but he supports having world-renowned musician Elvis Presley as one of the two replacements.

Shanks’ comments come after Arkansas last month unveiled a new statue of civil rights leader Daisey Bates. Bates’ statue stands next to Mississippi’s statue of Davis, the president of the Confederacy. Arkansas also voted to replace its other statute with one of musician Johnny Cash.

Alabama, in 2009, replaced a statue of Jabez Lamar Monroe Curry, a Confederate officer, with one of Helen Keller, a political activist and disability rights advocate.

Florida approved a measure in 2016 to replace Confederate Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith with Mary McLeod Bethune..

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Mississippi doctor helped save the life of a teen girl who was attacked by a shark at a Florida beach over the weekend.

Three people - two teen girls and a 45-year-old woman - were injured in two separate shark attacks on Saturday near 30A.

The attacks all happened within 90 minutes of each other.

The teen girls were just inside the first sandbar in about waist-deep water when the attack happened, authorities say.

Doctor Mohammad Ali, an interventional radiologist at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, and another physician were boogie boarding with their family when they “noticed a commotion and blood in the water not far from them.”

This according to a post from Mississippi Baptist Medical Center on Monday.

“After getting their own family from the water, both physicians rushed to help,” the post reads.

Dr. Ali would apply a tourniquet to one of the teen girl’s upper leg and hand while the other physician and emergency personnel also assisted.

The teen was then taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

The two girls, Lulu Gribbin and McCray Faust, were from Alabama.

Authorities said that one of the girls received “significant injuries to one upper and one lower extremity.”

The second girl received “flesh wounds to the right lower extremity, or her right foot.”

The 45-year-old woman who was attacked had to have her arm amputated.

There have been 2 deaths along the interstates in Jackson, Mississippi before lunch time today (Sunday, June 9th 2024). JPD had to close the interstate while they figured out if foul play was involved or not.

Left wing nutjobs are big mad at an Ohio McDonalds location for flying the American flag upside down at half mast to signify that America is in distress and the country is on the bring of collapse.

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKRC) - The American flag was flown upside down at a McDonald's location in Ohio Wednesday.

On Wednesday, an X user posted an image showing the American flag flying upside down at a McDonald's location in Austintown, Ohio. The post has since gone viral, garnering nearly 2 million views.

The user included a local corporate office number, but later commented that the problem had been rectified.

According to Mahoning Matters, McDonald's officials confirmed that the mistake was due to an error made by a maintenance worker and not any kind of political statement.

“This was an unintentional error when our flag was raised early yesterday morning. As soon as we were made aware of it, we rectified the situation. We are taking this opportunity to ensure our staff understand proper protocols," local McDonald's owner Trey Locke told Mahoning Matters.

On the viral post, the X user confirmed that the McDonald's location had addressed the issue.

"No. Do not call. They said they made a mistake. Thanks," the user wrote.

Per Mahoning Matters, flying the flag upside down has been used to signify a country in distress.

This year, my husband’s usual tournament partner could not play because he is participating in his nieces wedding, so Stephen needed to find a temporary partner.
Insert Lauren, our daughter would be home for the first summer in quite some time, and she plays a rare golf round every now and then in her free time. She was a division one college basketball player, so free time was almost non existent. Hence her first summer home, but Stephen thought “what the heck, she loves competition, so why not?”
Lauren agreed. They filled out the paperwork, hand delivered it in April, and proceeded to prepare, while looking forward to the weekend and some fun competition.
He books hotel reservations, dinner reservations, and the rest of us that don’t play make our usual plans of going to McCarty’s and The Gallery for lunch.
Yesterday, morning we receive the phone call letting us know the Lauren would not be allowed to play.
We ask why? She is a girl is the only reason given.
We then proceed to ask if we missed something. Is it stated anywhere that it is a Men’s Tournament? Does it say men’s only? The golf pro admits that it does not state anywhere that it is a men’s only tournament, but a girl has never played in the tournament before.
My husband explains that if it had stated it were a men’s tournament, he would never have asked her to play. He explained that we are fine with men or women only tournaments, and was unaware that women were not allowed to play. Not one of the people that play with them on a regular basis believed that she would not be welcome. Stephen explained how wrong he felt like the club was for the decision, but also for calling less than 24 hours before they were to leave town to travel to Cleveland. He explained that Lauren expected no special treatment and that she would play from the men’s tees like everyone else. She just wanted to play.
The Golf Pro asked for some time to talk it over wit..

Breaking News:
Is Largely Abandoned Jackson, MS Mall Set to Become World’s Largest Buc-ee's Convenience Store?

Jackson, MS - In a move that has stunned the community and sent shockwaves through the business world, the mostly abandoned Metro Center Mall is set to be transformed into the world’s largest Buc-ee's convenience store. This unprecedented development comes after years of public interest and outcry from the people of Jackson, MS, who have long been begging and circulating rumors for a local Buc-ee's location.

The massive undertaking will see the once bustling, now eerily quiet shopping center morph into a sprawling paradise for convenience store aficionados. "It's a dream come true," said lifelong Mississippi resident Buck Alman. "We've been wanting a Buc-ee's here for years, and now we’re getting one that’s bigger than we could have ever imagined!"

The Buc-ee's mega-store, which will occupy every inch of the former mall, is expected to offer everything from their iconic beaver nuggets and clean restrooms to an endless array of snacks, apparel, and unique gifts. Enthusiasts predict that the sheer scale of the store will attract tourists from all over the country, further boosting Jackson’s profile.

However, not everyone is thrilled with the announcement. Local business owners are bracing for impact, fearing that the behemoth Buc-ee's could overshadow their establishments. "How can we compete with a place that sells everything under the sun?" lamented Claudette Brown, owner of a small downtown business. "We might as well pack up and move into the Buc-ee's ourselves!"

Indeed, some analysts predict that the new Buc-ee's could drive many local businesses out of operation, leading to an economic monoculture dominated by the convenience store giant. In a particularly bold prediction, some even speculate that one day, all of Hwy 80 from I-220 to Hwy 18/Robinson Street will be one continuous Buc-ee's, seamlessly blending shopping, dining, and fuel services in..

The Mississippi Democratic Party is officially boycotting the Mississippi state fair this year (thank God) over AG Commissioner Andy Gipson's support of President Donald J. Trump and not a single person is upset. The fair just became the safest event in the state of Mississippi

A state trooper fired for sending out a sex tape featuring her and another woman to other officers is wrapped up in a legal battle with her co-star - and the force that gave her the axe.

Former Mississippi Highway cop Ivana Williams, 36, was let go in January, and the other woman in the tape is now suing her in federal court.

The petition alleges Williams sexually assaulted the unnamed woman, videotaped it, and shared the clip with other troopers.

The video player is currently playing an ad. You can skip the ad in 5 sec with a mouse or keyboard

Williams has since sued back, on the grounds the alleged victim damaged her reputation and business relationships by saying she was assaulted.

The other woman also claims she was told the clip would be deleted, while Williams claims her firing was not only retaliatory for complaining about a reassignment, but discrimination due to her being a woman.

In an appeal, she argued male officers have done the same, and claimed the decision violates rules designed to protect state employees.

Much of that night is a blur,' the unidentified victim writes in the lawsuit.

'I became unusually and extremely intoxicated.'

'The next morning I woke up in bed without my clothes on... I was aware a sexual encounter had taken place but had difficulty remembering any of what happened.'

The petition adds that while questioning the trooper about what had transpired, 'it was revealed to [the petitioner] that [Williams] had recorded the encounter with her phone without [the petitioner]'s knowledge or consent.'

The petitioner then demanded the trooper delete the video and not share it with anyone, but the trooper allegedly had already shared it with other officers.

She heard nothing else about the video until May of last year, when Williams told the victim the wife of her boyfriend at the time had discovered the video on her husband's phone or email.

'During that conversation,' the suit states '[Williams] informed [the petitioner] fo..

The Rankin county mother who lost 2 kids to gun violence is pissed off at me for exposing that one of her son's deaths might allegedly be a case of self-defense according to my sources, this bring us to the conversation of when you move from Jackson to a better area like Rankin or Madison county you need to leave you Jackson crap in Jackson.

I didn't split today's show up in any stand alone segments because I think the continuity of the show is important for the context of the conversation. I was joined my Matthew Bishop for the first segment and we discussed the Hunter Biden trial taking place in Delaware. Then the rest of the show is a very complex conversation about why people are completely fed up with being called racist by the most violent & perpetually offended group of people in America. We end the show with breaking news about Joe Biden crapping his pants on stage at a D-DAY memorial event in Normandy, France and a town in CT. that refused to fly the thin blue line flag in honor of a fallen police officer, but flew the trans pride flag at half mast instead.

The question of the day is "Did President Joe Biden POOP his pants while at the 80th anniversary of D-DAY in Normandy, France today? Below is the Daily Beast attempting to debunk it, watch my video as I explore the entire situation and make up your own mind.

President Joe Biden delivered a forceful speech Thursday in France to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landing, warning that “democracy is not guaranteed” and “the price of unchecked tyranny is the blood of the young and the brave.”

MAGA trolls reacted by accusing the president of pooping in his pants.

While many observers’ attention was focused on the president’s address honoring the last living veterans of the invasion of Normandy, the rapid response social media team of the Republican National Committee was instead preoccupied with Biden briefly crouching before taking a seat.

In a 13-second clip posted to social media, the president is seen shaking hands with French President Emmanuel Macron before turning toward first lady Jill Biden. He then slightly squats down while reaching for something behind him. The brief video ends with an announcer welcoming Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to the stage while Jill Biden appears to whisper something to her husband.

“Awkward,” the RNC Research account captioned the video, alongside a grimacing face emoji.

Pro-Trump influencers and right-wing provocateurs quickly ran wild with the clip, claiming it was definitive proof that the president had soiled his trousers.

Dave Rubin, the “ex-lefty turned shitposting Trump stan,” wondered whether Biden was “pooping or sitting in an invisible chair,” adding a poop emoji to his tweet to hammer home the message.

Dispensing with Rubin’s “just asking questions” framing, beanie aficionado and far-right podcaster Tim Pool blared “HE POOPED” and “HOLY SHIT” in all caps, claiming that the president needed to quickly leave the ceremony to clean himself up.
