Takin' the old Suzuki out after about 10 years.

This curious artifact was found in the basement of a condemned boarding house for women built in 1936, and in continuous operation until its closure in 1988. The owners graciously allowed me to rescue certain salvageable articles destined for the dumpster.

This High Frequency Violet Ray, manufactured August 5th, 1915 by Shelton Laboratories in NY, was one such treasure.

Shown here is some accompanying literature that I found relating to its origin, and a demonstration with my assistant, who happens to be a frog.

In 1951, the FDA effectively ended the production of Violet Ray devices due to alleged claims of medical quackery.
