The days are getting longer and everything is waking up. Green feed for boosting livestock becomes important, but is often scarce. A simple and pretty affordable solution can be fodder trays. Here's the simple way I put together quick ryegrass fodder feeding trays for boosting early poultry breeding down on Crossroads farm.

Things are startingbtomwarm up here on Crossroads Farm. February, March and April are usually warm and dry months in our usual climate pattern. The daylight is starting to grow longer and the chickens are laying well. Sometimes good forage becomes scarce and fodder trays help bridge the growth gap until May when the growing conditions turn lush.

Just wanted to update the progress on the mimosa and bamboo plantation we did earlier in 2022. Running bamboo was planted to establish more high quality fodder along side the mimosa which is also a good quality fodder. Also discuss some perennial pasture (bermuda) establishment strategy. Making use of often overlooked spaces is a great way to maximize yield or get started gardening.
