A zero-knowledge neural network (ZKANN) has been proposed by Ross Ulbricht to resolve the tradeoff betweeen privacy for individuals for encryption and bad actors exploiting this privacy for nefarious purposes. Fairly exciting! I give a basic overview as I understand it.
I also briefly discuss the fact that a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) amendment is still being considered by US legislators, a move that always has a global impact.

There hasn't been a solution for a private email calendar that syncs across your devices without needing technical know-how until recently. This is at least to my knowledge. I found out about Tutanota, an email service similar to ProtonMail but with a private calendar as well.
There is no desktop client, but this is a service I've been wanting to see for some time, and I'm excited that it's here!

The pandemic outbreak, which shall not be named, is a test for the theories about financial assets, new and old, in a modern world. As the news seems to get worse each day, the US and global economy is on the brink of collapse. But it has been on the brink of collapse for decades, due to the imbalance of consumption without production, and debt issuance without cash assets, savings and otherwise, to back it. This is due to fractional reserve lending, artificially low interest rates, and a society that rewards taking on debt.

Although Apple may, in principle, want to secure our privacy by not allowing government backdoors for their iCloud servers, they're not doing so, and they're not doing so under the threat of coercion from the FBI. We're just finding out, even though it allegedly happened two years ago!
