I Don't Know & It's Okay
Just wanted to jump on to remind you, or encourage you if it's first time you're hearing this, that not knowing is actually okay.

Forced #Reciprocity. What is that?

I am a firm believer, for my own health reasons among others, in giving only when you can without harming yourself, and in learning to receive as freely as we are taught to give.

This pressure to always reciprocate everything all the time, in life, work, relationships (friendship, life companions, etcetera) doesn't bring balance. In fact, it almost erases who we are, in those relationships. Authenticity disappears when we begin to keep score.

Have you begun to feel the pain of this?

Sending some love on this video. An invitation (that you don't need from me) to stop, give what you can from full cup when you can, and not to when you can't.

That applies to All areas of life. From activism, social media's 'team follow back' to reaching out "first" in relationships, and so much more.

Where does this forced reciprocity hurt you most, these days?

If you're the one expecting absolute reciprocity, I get it. I can see where it comes from. But have you thought it all the way through, the cycle of it?

As our children go through different ages and phases, and for me, on the #homeschooling journey, we begin to create an new #village, new community. We meet new parents who are still getting to understand how we live, parent and set #boundaries in caring for our children.

Some parents take the time to get to know those ideals and boundaries, while some bulldoze their way into trying to change everyone's minds to align with their own ideals.

It's easy to get railroaded, sometimes, when
✓ we're tired, or
✓ we misunderstood the nature of the community, or
✓ we got excited, thinking we've finally found community where we think we can let our guard down.

AND

It's okay to stop and pivot and ANY time, in any community, to say, "No, that's not okay for us."

And no argument brought against that is allowed to stand. Your "No" is enough. It's final and complete. 🤗

If a caterpillar does not know that it can eventually fly, do you attack it and say that it should be aware that it can fly and shame it into flying?

Then why do we allow ourselves to be shamed into saying "I attracted this attack, this horrid person, that awful experience into my life", as your first moment of awareness of the Law of Attraction?

May you release the idea that you are somehow responsible for someone else's bad behaviour.

May you release the idea that you only attract what you love, want or who you secretly are, yourself, on the inside. That is a gross misunderstanding of your magnetic or attracting capacity.

May you understand that, even as we are capable of attracting, it is what is in our energy field as Ideas and Thoughts and Words - whether we fear or love them - that create. And just as with that caterpillar, you cannot manage, direct what you do not know (or even believe). ❤️

An invitation to a different, less talked-about aspect of self-acceptance. What about if we just love ourselves before the "continuous improvement" - the perfect healing, the ideal skillset, whatever else we're pushing ourselves "out of our comfort zones" for. Flow is great, but resting in the ebbs of life, joyful in the containment of wherever we are now, is also bliss. Here's to a quick invitation to self-love, as we are.

Welcome. Here's an uncommon invitation from a mindful (entrepreneurship) strategy consultant, generally focused on pricing for your lifestyle. If you're finding that you're suddenly intrigued by the notion of leaving the financial system behind, there is a sound energetic reason for that appeal. More, an invitation to sit with it. What does it feel, smell, taste, sound, look like? ...this world lead by ease, ebb and flow in Love, rather than our current world of do, go, produce and continuous improvement?

Self. Knowing the self sparks a fascination with the Self in others. It does not spark a need to control, limit or define the Self in others. Simply a fascination with the other that makes you really want to see the magic that unfolds as they truly emerge. An invitation to explore the paradox, not the contradiction, of the potent Self and that we are all one.

Taking a moment to unwrap what I mean by "Authenticity for Gentle Resilience", my motivational keynote offering inviting us to approach resilience from a far more energizing perspective.

A huge fallout of avoiding the discovery of ourselves is that we buy fully into ideas of what we need to keep (and eliminate) from within ourselves, that come from the "all knowing" entities of the world. I hope this invitation to take a second look at yourself, allows you to look at your shadow, or even the word shadow in general, from a different perspective.
