These adorable comics imagine Internet Explorer as a lonely anime girl
Poor Internet Explorer.

Ever since browsers like Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, and the rest of the crew showed up, Internet Explorer been left out in the cold. Even Microsoft, with its introduction of its Microsoft Edge browser, couldn’t wait to get rid of it.

But for many of us, Internet Explorer remains a holdover from the classic days of internet usage. It ranks with Netscape Navigator as one of the most archaic ways to look around online, and while Internet Explorer still functions, it’s by far the worst choice for internet exploring.

With that in mind, webtoon author and artist @Merryweatherey tweeted some adorable comics dedicated to the antiquated browser. No matter how irrelevant, the web browser is cute and endearing in human form. We can’t help but feel a little sad for her.

We’re first introduced to Internet Explorer as she greets a new user (the reader) who’s apparently opened up the browser. She’s ecstatic! She hasn’t seen a new user in so long and just wants to help. So she makes a few suggestions, but it appears that the internet user only wants to download Google Chrome.

Mickey and Other Disney Characters In Human Form
Mickey and friends in human form are more charming than we had imagined!
Disney and their ever-expanding lineup of charismatic characters continue to capture the hearts of children and adults alike. The biggest hit of the year is Frozen with its double princess lineup, but even though Elsa and Anna are tremendously popular, when we think of Disney, the first image that comes to mind is still that of a certain talking mouse and his chirpy giggle.

That’s right, Mickey Mouse! And his gang of talking animal friends, of course. Although Mickey and friends wear clothes and talk and sing and dance, they are still not quite as human as they sometimes seem. Have you ever imagined what Mickey and Donald would look like as humans? Personally, I haven’t; not until now. Check out these fabulous “humanized” Disney characters drawn by Japanese illustrator Chaico!

We’ve previously seen some illustrations of Spongebob and gang in human forms, which received both positive and negative responses from our readers. Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Would humanized Disney characters tickle your fancy? Let’s take a look!

The Monster Engine: Children’s Drawings Painted Realistically
Dave Devries takes sketches of monsters drawn by children purely from their imagination and renders them realistically giving them a truly devilish look. His collection of drawings and paintings form a 48-page book “The Monster Engine”.

Devries would project a child’s drawing with an opaque projector, and then faithfully trace each line. Applying a combination of logic and instinct, he then paint the image as realistically as he can using primarily acrylic, airbrush, and colored pencil.

Things That We Realized After Spontaneously Adopting A Dog From A Shelter
This Story About Why We Should Adopt Second-Hand Dogs Will Warm Your Heart
One Perfect Comic Captures Exactly What it’s Like to Rescue Your First Dog
Always try adopting instead of buying dogs

If you adopt, you’re giving the neglected and unloved innocent soul another chance at life. You’re not only offering them a lovely home and a loving family; you’re helping them heal by filling the emptiness in their lives. Let’s not forget that by adopting more you can directly make a positive impact on their life expectancy.

You see, careless breeders typically breed dogs that are “closely related” which results in a higher COI (coefficient of inbreeding) which in turn causes health problems and eventually even death (true for a lot of breeds especially pugs). For a better sense of the entire picture, scroll on below and read the following heartwarming story of how adoption can change a doggo’s life.

Brutally Honest 'Story Of My Life' Book Covers That Are So Relatable
Hilariously Honest “Story Of My Life” Book Covers
The social media is often filled with self-deprivation that can really hit you in the mark and makes you go 'this is the story of my life'. And an Instagram account is actually dedicated to creating book covers for such people. @storyofmyfuckinglife contains uploads of book cover illustrations that tell the story we all know by heart. So much so that we feel so oddly familiar with them. Probably because that's exactly what we do everyday.

Okay, so these are not real books. The Instagram account just loves to mess around with funny dumb things we know we do but can't tell others about. They took those stories and wrote them as the title of books, memoirs, or even a 'cookbook'. But, let's be honest. We seriously hope someone would serialize these dumb things because we love to read the shameful things we do every now and then.

The unrealistic portrayal of dolls and its effect on female self-image is a persistent discussion surrounding the toy industry. Dolls were, and in most cases still are, an ideal of proportional body shape and beauty which has been influencing girls around the world from the very young age. This perfectly symmetrical and flawless image has become an aspiration, though it‘s far from realistic. This is why we are thankful for artists who think of the box and contribute to a change by carrying the message of individual and unique beauty.

Ukrainian artist Olga Kamenetskaya specializing in doll modification and repainting, takes what‘s considered ‘perfect’ and gives it a realistic makeover which results in gorgeous, one-of-a-kind creations. What has started as a hobby of repainting dolls from Monster High, has turned into a career which is now admired by almost 60k people on Instagram.

Every popular doll you can think of: Barbie, Blythe, BJD, you name it, turns into extremely realistic, intricate and foremost, unique work of art. All the fine details, such as little features, imperfections, body shapes, realistic wigs add charisma to lifeless, mass-produced dolls and are definitely what makes her work stand out.

It is safe to say that dolls look much better after the ‘natural treatment’ and it goes to show the so-called ‘flaws’ are what actually makes us beautiful.

Brutal Life Truths Told By Cute Cats Will Give You Mixed Feelings
A lot of facts about our lives (like the lack of control over it and the inevitable death afterwards) are tough to swallow, so it's best you learn about them from somebody soft and fluffy. Luckily, there's a tumblr, dedicated to using cats to deliver heavy information. It's called Hard Truths From Soft Cats, and it helps to carry the burden of existence.

Some of these messages are objectively true and some are subjectively false but the collection of these images can be described as a healthy introduction to pessimism. American philosopher and psychologist William James came up with the equation: happiness = expectations / reality. According to it, there are two ways to live a happier life - change reality, or change expectations. Pessimists reduce the expectations. They prepare themselves for the worst by reducing tension and shielding from disappointment. However, don't think of them as grim - they can easily fill the gap between what should be and what is with laughter. Just like these comics do!

Social Media Platforms Come To Life As Scary Humanoids
20 Illustrations Of Iconic Brands As Unique And Colourful Characters.
Artist Illustrated Iconic Brands As If They Were Humans
f you have ever tried to imagine how social media platforms would look, as humanoids, you are in for a treat. Esoj Luna, an illustrator from The Philippines, created 7 “social media” humanoids. Pretty scary, right?

Esoj Luna (short for Joseph Luna) is a renowned illustrator from the Philippines. For his latest project, he decided to bring social media platforms to life, and represent them as futuristic humanoids. Each character is made out of the logo and elements from each of seven social media brands. Of course, each also “behaves” as the platform itself.

The result looks pretty amazing, but it also gives a rather scary image of the social media world we live in. What do you think?

Artist's Unique Take On Modern Life Will Leave You Asking For More

Cartoonist’s Unique Take On Modern Life Will Leave You Asking For More

Ever wondered what art reimagined as fish would look like? Or what would cult classics be if they had post-modernist remakes? Most likely not, but a Canadian graphic designer is here to do it for you. John Atkinson, who features his work on his blog site Wrong Hands gives his unique take on everything random and wonderful.

John said: “Generally, I walk around the house trying to think of something funny. Then I have a nap. Then I bang my head against the wall. Once I think I’ve come up with something, I begin to sketch it out. About halfway through the process I realise it isn’t that funny after all and start over again.”

John’s illustrations include a wide range of topics – from lazy recipes to beak shapes of birds.

Blindsprings is a magical fantasy about a young girl named Tammy who lives in a lush forest straight out of a fairy tale. In fact, she soon meets a young man named Harris who knows of her from reading fairy tales. Harris soon leaves for school to study magic, while Tammy is involved with some sort of secret group of forest spirits. Years later, Harris returns to “save” Tammy and bring her out into the world. But that may not be what Tammy really wants or needs.

Kadi Fedoruk is an amazing young artist whose work would look right at home at Disney, although you can see other influences as well. Blindsprings looks like what would happen if Frozen’s Princess Anna wandered into the world of Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away. There is definitely a mysterious undertone to this that elevates the material above simple children’s fantasy though, and it hints at darker things to come.

“Pixie is a tiny, joyful, energetic kitten,” Ben told Bored Panda. “She’s innocent, and also somewhat oblivious to the serious, dangerous stuff around her.”
On the other hand, Brutus is a large, scar-faced German Shepherd. “He was adopted by Pixie’s owner after retiring as a Military Working Dog (MWD). Brutus, in many ways, is the exact opposite of Pixie. He’s… Seen things. He’s a very serious and intimidating military dog, but he has a soft spot for Pixie, and does what he can to protect her from the harsh realities of the world around them.”

“Honestly, Pixie and Brutus were just another random comic idea I had while at work. I was never planning on making them a series; I just thought it would be a funny idea to introduce a cute little kitten to a big intimidating war dog. So I made the first Pixie and Brutus cute animal comic, and people liked it so much I just kept making them.”

This Is What The Skeletons Of Famous Cartoon Characters Would Look Like
Usually when you're just binge-watching cartoons you don't really pay attention to the weirdly disproportional bodies of the animated characters. Some have over sized heads, some - squat legs. They really are interesting. Or weird - whatever you prefer. Thanks to an artist from Oregon, Michael Paulus, we can now have a better look at what lies beneath our favorite characters.

Paulus has closely examined some of television's oddly shaped characters and illustrated their anatomy. The results are awesome! You can purchase these cool anatomical prints on Etsy.

Cute and Hilarious Illustrations Shows That Monsters Have Problems, Too!
Unless you’re in an angry mob (pitchforks, torches, etc.), you’re supposed to run away from monsters. But Teo Zirinis isn’t afraid – in fact, he’s delving into ‘Monster Issues’! Featuring such classical literature and cinema monsters like The Creature From the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein (monster) and Medusa, the series explores the fears (and issues) of these creepy creatures. Did you know that Lochness Monsters (‘Nessie’ to friends) is worried about how she looks in the pictures? You do now! Maybe take a better camera next time you go looking for her.

Most people will agree that one of the major problems facing zombies is that they’re dead inside. Solving this little pickle would probably help zombies with such problems as “eating people” and “getting shot because people don’t like to be eaten”.

However, the Dracula vs. Batman dispute is sadly unsolvable.

Digital Artist Creates Surreal Art That Will Make Your Skin Crawl
Sometimes art can make your skin crawl. Oliver Marinkoski is a Macedonian sculptor, who a few years ago started creating unsettling digital manipulations.

"I found that digital media is a very cheap and fast way for me to express my ideas," the artist said. He creates surreal manipulations from scratch. "I make my one 3d models and stock photos. Digital media has no limits; you can create anything there." Most of the artist's work is challenging conventional ideas by altering human parts or creating inanimate objects covered in human skin.

Your Favorite Childhood Cartoon Characters Reimagined As Criminals And Demons
Prepare to have your fond memories of childhood cartoons ruined – sort of.

Digital concept artist Dan LuVisi based in Los Angeles has created a gallery of dark and twisted spin offs of our favorite childhood cartoons.

LuVisi has cleverly titled his series, “Popped Culture” in which he showcases characters like Homer Simpson in evil and hellish lights.

He shared on his blog how the inspiration for the series came about: “I was inspired by my childhood nostalgia, growing up on Disney and Nickelodeon cartoons,” said LuVisi. “But what my intentions were to do, was combine that love with the dark underbelly of Hollywood and how it corrupts some of its many actors and actresses.”

The transformed images have become such a hit that LuVisi, along with his pal Alex Konstad, are printing a book of the images titled, “Popped Culture.” Each of the photos are paired with a backstory along with movie references that you can check out on LuVisi’s website.
Remember all those cartoon characters you used to watch, and now imagine how they might look in the real world. This is exactly what digital artist Dan Luvisi does in his latest series titled "Popped Culture". He takes the cartoon characters everyone knows and loves, and turns them into the complete opposite. His work seems to have a dark, slightly creepy tone to it. These illustrations will change your childhood forever.
