Lecture I in his Psychological Significance of the Biblical Stories series from May 16th at Isabel Bader Theatre in Toronto. Ever since the golden age of Jimi Hendrix and his blues guitar playing, I’ve been a big fan of rock groups with guitar heroes as a front men. International touring Nashville recording artist, Justin Johnson has been hailed by Guitar World as a "must-see act", dubbed "The Wizard" for his mastery of stringed instruments, and recognized as Slide Stock International's, Slide Guitar Champion. Delta and Chicago blues have always been major currents in music's history. So discovery of Tennessee native, guitar “Wizard” Justin Johnson, was nothing short of inspiring. You can find a whole set of Johnson’s recordings on the internet, but what's particularly interesting, are his two latest albums, “If Walls Could Talk” (2016) and “Drivin’ It Down” (2017).
His music is amazing, but one has to see him live – what I haven’t had the chance to do so far – to fully appreciate his visual wizardry since he can play on anything that even remotely resembles a guitar. That’s what you can see in this short collection clipped from his videos posted on the internet.

I was a combat medic in the United States Army and was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq. This video was taken of me doing some shooting range training, while we had some downtime over there. It's just for fun and not a requirement for any qualifications. For the course, I was carrying around 30kg medic bag with fluids and other medical supplies, an M4 carbine rifle, an M9 9mm pistol, ammo for both (5 magazines 9mm, 9 magazines 5.56 nato rounds), 2x IIIA balistic plates and carrier, kevlar helmet (ACH), and all the other basics every soldier would have when in uniform. It was filmed some time back in 2007, so this is just a reupload.
