In this video I will show you how to break down a chicken into quarters. This is a great way to save a lot of money on chicken. My wife and I vacuum seal and freeze our chicken parts and pull them out for dinners as we need. Here in Canada, we can buy a chicken for as cheap as 6 dollars when on sale or up to 20 for an organic larger bird. Divide that by 4 and no matter the cost you are saving valuable money by spending a few minutes butchering it yourself!

In this video, I will show you how to make a lovely pasta dish with homemade tomato sauce and handmade meatballs. For this recipe, I used venison chorizo and ground beef for the meatballs. If you have any questions, feel free to comment! Thanks for watching.

ingredients:

Tomato Sauce:
1 Can Whole Tomatoes (substitute 8-10 fresh italian tomatoes if needed)
1 Can Tomato Paste
1-2 Cups Red Wine (any wine works, even cooking wines, use what you enjoy/can afford)
1-2 Cups of Water
1 Shallot
1 Red Onion
5-10 Cloves of Garlic
1-2 TBSP Olive Oil
6-12 Basil Leaves, or 1 large step with leaves attached, or 2 TBSP of dried Basil Leaves

Meatballs
1 pound ground beef
1 pound sausage of your choice (Venison, Pork, Moose, Elk work best)
2 Eggs
1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Peppercorns
7 glugs of Worcestershire Sauce

Sorry for the poor quality, this is my first ever video and I will in the future have my wife do most of the filming. I hope you enjoy this video and find it useful. If you have any questions regarding specifics of this recipe, please feel free to comment. Or, if you have any requests for a recipe, please don't hesitate to ask.
