In many cases, the desire for widespread masking is a reflexive reaction to anxiety over the pandemic.”

Matt (someone @insta_ashleyeverly knows in real life) shares his experience with being contacted by Central District Health of Idaho, for having been identified as someone who may have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID.
He never had any symptoms, was not within even 15 feet of the person who tested positive, but was put on a list to be contact traced. He confirmed with the contact tracer that, had he developed a cough or runny nose (he didn’t), he would have been counted as a COVID case.
