"I thought the wraith should have more than just one attack. So I decided to create a secondary attack for it. It should be an attack that can be applied on distance. After some thinking I came up with something, an attack that would drain life out of an entity.
I started to write the Ai for this special attack, and then created a visually pleasing effect for it.

But I am kind of unsure, whether to use the bling or the heart particles. The heart particles kind of make sense, since it is a life draining attack. But those same heart particles are used for love making, breeding entities, reproducing. So it feels kind of weird to use them for that deadly attack, while at the same time just as right.

Notice, how the light colour changes depending on time and moon brightness.

Also note, that during sunrise and sunset the landscape is immersed into an orange hue. Moreover moonlight is more bluish than the default daylight, and therefore the night conveys a colder, yet magical atmospheric feeling. Furthermore bloodmoon lets the world appear bloody red of course. Can you already sense the danger?

Now, light sources are always in daylight colour, but the farther away a surface is from those, the more it is illuminated by the colour of the natural ambient lighting.

All in all these effects create a specific wonderful atmospheric ambient feeling. I think it looks just awesome. Emagone now has its own atmospheric landscape.
