This video provides a plan for a great day in Amsterdam, especially if you only have one day to explore as we did. We arrived in Amsterdam on July, 26th 2018 and wouldn't you know that the next day was the hottest day on record. WE SURVIVED the heat and had a great day. Amsterdam is one of my favorite cities in Europe and didn't dissapoint this time. This was the first time we took our kids, and even though there were some uncomfortable moments in The Red Light District where my son's eyes sometimes resembled dinner plates (LOL!!), everyone had a really good time. The attractions we picked were The Heineken Experience, a canal boat cruise with Friendship Amsterdam, and finally The Rijksmuseum and I amsterdam letters. I provided all contact details below for these three locations. For our day, we actually started with The Heineken Experience after a short tram ride from Central Station, then made the VERY short and pleasant walk to Rijksmuseum and the I amsterdam letters. Finally we took the Tram back to Central Station and made the 10 minute walk to The Friendship Amsterdam dock where we caught the canal cruise. Because of some editing considerations, the order was a bit jumbled. The flow of the day was perfect and almost anyone can follow this and have a spectacular day in Amsterdam.
