The Pentagon said Thursday that the U.S. military has killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani, the head of Iran’s elite Quds Force, at the direction of President Donald Trump.

An airstrike killed Soleimani, architect of Iran’s regional security apparatus, at Baghdad’s international airport Friday, Iranian state television and three Iraqi officials said, an attack that’s expected to draw severe Iranian retaliation against Israel and American interests.

The Defense Department said Soleimani “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.” It also accused Soleimani of approving the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad earlier this week.

The U.S. attorney who is conducting a wide-ranging investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe released a rare statement Monday saying he disagrees with conclusions of the so-called FISA report -- after DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz found in that review that the probe's launch largely complied with DOJ and FBI policies.

“Based on the evidence collected to date, and while our investigation is ongoing, last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened,” U.S. Attorney John Durham said in a statement.

Horowitz released his report Monday saying his investigators found no intentional misconduct or political bias surrounding efforts to launch that 2016 probe and to seek a highly controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant to monitor former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in the early months of the investigation. Still, it found that there were "significant concerns with how certain aspects of the investigation were conducted and supervised."

“I have the utmost respect for the mission of the Office of Inspector General and the comprehensive work that went into the report prepared by Mr. Horowitz and his staff,” Durham said. “However, our investigation is not limited to developing information from within component parts of the Justice Department. Our investigation has included developing information from other persons and entities, both in the U.S. and outside of the U.S.”

As Horowitz has conducted his review of DOJ actions during the Russia probe, Durham, the U.S. attorney for Connecticut, has also been conducting a wider inquiry into alleged misconduct and alleged improper government surveillance on the Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election.

Fox News reported in October that Durham's ongoing probe has transitioned into a full-fledged criminal investigation.

Meanwhile, Attorney Genera..

In an exclusive interview, Attorney General William Barr spoke to NBC News' Pete Williams about the findings on the Justice Department Inspector General's report on the Russia investigation and his criticisms of the FBI.

I'm a conservative through-and-through, heart, mind, body, soul, you name it, thats me. I go by the name "Knothead" because that's what my Daddy and my Grandpa called me.

My Grandfather was the last of the great generation. He plowed, planted, irrigated, transported, and sold produce, and raised cows and hogs for auction and or Slaughter, so he was in the meat industry as well.
He had 165 Acres in East Texas. His main crop was watermelons. Then he also had corn, sugarcane, and pretty much any vegetable you can think of. Potatoes, peanuts, cabbage, cucumbers, peas, beans, 10 different kinds of tomatoes, like I said you name it, he had it. He also broke horses, had 124 head of cattle that he raised for Slaughter, something like 60 Hogs, and he trained coon dogs. He retired at the ripe old age of 85. He was a beautiful man. He was generous to his community, and loved and respected everyone. He lived in a small town in East Texas, and all of the people in the ghetto called him Uncle Buddy. Because when he would finish selling all he could to the grocery stores and produce buyers, he would take the excess produce down to the ghetto and sell it to them Dirt Cheap. About half the time he was giving it to them. I come to find out later on that he was selling bootleg muscadine wine tooLMAO. He used to tell me that all the people came by after church on Sundays too pick up jelly from my grandmother. Which they did, but that was their little cover up haha He also kept all the black guys in the ghetto working during the seasons. Everybody loved Uncle Buddy.

My Father, God bless his soul, worked himself to death. He passed away in 2013. What I mean by "worked himself to death", he worked in a concrete plant, and the dust got to him. It got in his lungs really bad. He ended up dying from COPD and emphysema. He was a very light smoker. Maybe smoke two packs a week. The concrete dust was the main cause. The man could barely walk 10 feet without having to stop and catch his breath, but he went to work like that for 5 years. never wants to eat b****, or complain. He went to work 6 days a week and worked 10 hours a day. He eventually had to quit, because he could no longer make it. The messed up thing about the whole situation is, the company that had worked for for 35 years did not give him nothing when he quit. No send off, no retirement, no nothing They just gave him a: "Thanks, Nice Knowing You". I'm freaking serious. I really don't like to discuss it too much because it brings up emotional memories.

They both called me Knothead because I was always doing crazy stuffm I was a wild crazy fool when I was younger, I love the fast lifestyle, but was able to get out of it unscathed

Now of course I've settled down. I have my beautiful 15 year old daughter that I'm ready, and my mother lives with me. Literally on the father's death band, he asked me to always take care of my mother and watch over her and make sure she's taken care of. I'm trying to follow in my Daddy's, and my Granddaddy's footsteps. If I could be a quarter of the man that they were I would be the baddest S.O.B. on the planet, 😎😉.

I love my family, my home, state, country and my right to bear arms. I live a common-sense lifestyle. I don't put up with no bulshit, but don't start none either. "Don't start none, won't be none." I just want to meet like-minded people, and be able to communicate with people that actually think for themselves and do not get hypnotized and brainwashed by what they see on TV. In other words normal people LOL. I respect others, and treat them as I would want to be treated. I am able to catch myself and judge my own self. I'm not ashamed of what I am or what I believe in. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong either. But I do not brag and get all cunty when I'm right about something. I hate douchebags, Hypocrites, and I freaking love the haters!! That's pretty much about it. As the great Forrest Gump once said, "that's all I have to say about that."
