Truth, lies, and protocol.

Wherein 100,000 years of devotion and planning are lost to a few well-placed rockets.

And the horse you rode in on...

Keyes, Jacob. Captain. Service number 01928-19912-JK.

Battling through waves of both the Covenant and the Flood, the Master Chief stages a one-cyborg assault against a Covenant carrier to rescue Captain Keyes.

The destructive might of the Halo Array is remembered by one of the few survivors of its last firing.

With the Index acquired, Halo's true purpose is revealed...

Who monitors the Monitor?

Teaming up with the rather eccentric caretaker of mysterious ring-world, John-117 battles through a gauntlet of a Forerunner complex to acquire the Index which can then be used to cleanse the Flood before they can escape Halo and threaten the galaxy.

With his hopes for outside contact now buried, 343 Guilty Spark is (somewhat) comforted by a reminder of how deadly his responsibilities on Halo truly are.

The Master Chief travels through a swamp to a Forerunner containment facility and discovers a horrifying new enemy...

The crash of unknown visitors pits curiosity against duty.

After a thousand years, the excitement of maintaining a galactic superweapon starts to wear thin.

Complete the Silent Cartographer without firing any weapons, throwing any grenades or meleeing any enemy. Can be done on any difficulty, so I decided to go full cheapskate and do it on Easy.

The Master Chief leads a small platoon of marines to search for a map that will reveal the location of Halo's control room.

343 Guilty Spark meets his Covenant counterpart and is very, very disappointed.

Achievement for Truth and Reconciliation; assassinate the first wave of enemies in the opening of the level. A little tricky and you may need to restart a few times, but with practice it's doable. Can be acquired on any difficulty (played on Normal, here).

Following the capture of Captain Keyes, the Master Chief leads a rescue team to recover the Captain in a small-team assault against a heavily-defended Covenant cruiser.

In the aftermath of a terrible sacrifice, careful plans are laid for the Halo Array.

Alternate walkthrough of the second level of Halo: CE, playing through the entire mission on foot will unlock the "How Pedestrian" achievement. Sounds simple enough, with one caveat: You need to perform a grenade jump in order to cross the gap in the tunnel, normally only passable via the Warthog.

Skip around to the ten minute mark if you want to see how to do it, I just uploaded the full level for anyone who may be interested.

After crash landing on the mysterious ring-world, the Master Chief must regroup with the other survivors of the Pillar of Autumn's crew to begin an effective counter-attack in guerrilla warfare tactics against the Covenant.

The discovery of Halo becomes even more mysterious when the Pillar of Autumn receives a very familiar greeting.

Nothing fancy, just a playthrough of the first level of Halo (X1 version). No commentary because I'm embarrassed by the sound of my own voice.

Probably would've been a perfect run if I hadn't made a total n00b grenade throw towards the end.
