In a new petition, the group Clean Skies Texas is collecting signatures to demand that state representatives pass laws banning dangerous aerosol spraying in the atmosphere without prior approval and testing of these substances.

The petition reads, "We, the undersigned, concerned citizens of Texas, demand that state lawmakers pass legislation to protect our families, pets, crops, water and the environment from all the negative side effects of chemical spraying in our skies by county, state, federal, military and any corporations, NGOs and non-profit organizations.

It goes on to note that testing of "sediment, groundwater and soil shows that some of the substances or particles being sprayed are aluminum, barium and strontium oxides."
