Recording shows the hoarding covered scaffolding on the rooftop of Westminster Palace behind Big Ben; confirms the recording made in autumn of 2013 (as per the posted date of the original source video, 30-DEC-2013).

Next the camera sweeps across the Thames to Albert Embankment and the first construction crane spotted. And from there the camera moves to the white construction crane at St Thomas Hospital; and then shows the newly erected construction crane over the former York House worksite (now Urbanest).

This was a daytime recording posted in late autumn 2013, a little more than a month before the time interval for the London pics of Victoria Embankment. Those pics captured the night time view of hazard lights atop these cranes.

Look for these details in this night time scene from DEC 2013: LG G3 billboard ad, no shack at RIPLEY's and at the stairs to UG, COOL BRITANNIA shopfront, sheets of bright white lights strung over Coventry Street at or near the corner of the RED BUS pic.

The original vid posted 10 DEC 2013 so recorded two weeks or more before Christmas Day.

The 'giant snow globe' was already in place at time of this recording. It was installed 18 NOV 2013 and was scheduled to remain until 4 JAN 2014. But it was damaged in strong winds. In the original video it appeared momentarily when camera entered Piccadilly Circus.

VID posted 6 FEB 2014. Featured a large tree stump at corner of VICTORIA EMBANKMENT and PARLIAMENT. It and the nearby handrail at kerbside were removed sometime after this recording was made. Both the cutting down of the tree and the removal of the stump could serve as markers for the EMBANKMENT interval. Compared with SV images, this video appears to have been recorded before MAY 2012 and so is outside of that interval.

Each EMB pic has been layed onto the pic that preceded in the drop sequence of EMB pics as a series. However, in this version, LisaMI6 is layed down first because this version of the overlay is based on BIG BEN and in LisaMI6 Big ben appears larger than in the other EMB pics. That difference in scale has been used here as a marker for the purpose of overlays. LisaMI6 is the last in the London Pics in the drop sequence. Hence it appears in this version of the overlay both at the start, as a reference for BIG BEN, and at the end as the last.

Overlaying is used here to look for clues about details that might distinguish one pic from another and also to look for clues about details that might be common or that connect one pic with another. This technique can be extended to other combinations of London Pics. Here, for example, ROT3 has been excluded for the sake of focussing on the EMBANKMENT as a distinct location featured in the drops.

Brief vid of portion of RIDE where racers turned westward on NORTHUMBERLAND AVE; passing the former location of a bike hire stall which used to occupy the space along the kerbside; passing a couple of traffic islands where two of three bollards had been damaged or removed and only a third remained; on these two bollard positions the City had placed foldable traffic signs facing the racers; these temporary bollards were weighed down with sandbags.

Note that there is a another bike stall near the Corinthia Hotel at WHITEHALL PLACE and it remains to this day; and another bike stall nearby at CRAVEN STREET and it also remains in place today; both of these were in present on 4 AUG 2013 but may not have been only partially occupied due to the road race that SUNDAY. Also note the marquee of the Playhouse Theatre which featured SPAMALOT; that musical played there from 14 NOV 2012 to 12 APR 2013. The bollards positions and the missing kerbside bike stall both match the London Pics of the scene; the lights of the marquee roughly match a few reflections on passing vehicles that can be seen in those pics.

Earliest pictorial evidence of missing bike stall, 4 AUG 2013. Bollards/islands closely resemble both the London pics of this scene and the SV images of MAY 2012 AND MAY 2014. In the 2012 SV images, one of the bollards, on the east island, appears to have been recenty damaged and/or cut off its legs; it can be seen resting beside an orange pylon over its former position. In the 2014 SV images, a makeshift memorial commemorated the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident at this location.

SV IMAGES, MAY 2014, includes two islands as well as unused foldable bollards/signs left at the scene. These prolly were dropped off by City services on the route of some upcoming road event; setup crew to follow. Note back of sign on the lamp post by the small green building at foot of the stairs to bridge; it faces EMBANKMENT but on the wrong side of the road for vehicluar traffic. Note the back of another sign on a DO NOT ENTER post by the bike docking station; it faces WHITEHALL PLACE oncoming but is on the right side of the road instead of left side. These signs might have been for pedestrians, apparently, coming toward the islands from the bridge or EMBANKMENT; and from WHITEHALL PLACE or the hotels along that route.
