This is...sort of another Outbreak story.
I actually wrote this and a couple other very short stories as part of a writing exercise when I was suffering from writer's block while working on the second book, Outbreak: Brave New World. I essentially just wrote a little bit after asking my three main characters a simple question: what was your best day ever? This was Senior Airman Amy Frays' response...after a fashion. She's too honest to out and out lie to you but she wouldn't just admit to this out of hand either, if you follow me. :-)

I wrote a collection of short stories set in the universe of my Outbreak series of zombie fiction novels. I decided to record them and put them out as little audiobooks free on the internet. A sort of 'off the cuff' video where I relate anecdotes about Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, Augustus and Claudius. I actually had a script for this one to try and keep my rambling to a minimum.
The stills used in the Julius Caesar, Mark Antony and Augustus sections are from HBO's Rome. The still from the Claudius section is from the BBC miniseries I, Claudius. Both are well worth your time if you haven't seen them.

A pair of wandering adventurers are pressed into service to save a small mountain town from a monster which roams its streets after sundown...
This is a Fantasy short story that I wrote as part of my anthology titled The Lay of Leanna. It takes place in the same world as my novel, An Uncommon Burglar, though about four centuries or so beforehand. If you were to walk into any pub, inn or be entertained in a noble's hall anywhere in Wolestland this is probably one of the tales you'd hear (or at least a reasonable approximation of it, anyway). I'll be reading An Uncommon Burglar next, releasing a chapter once a week so be sure and subscribe! :-)
